Kianne Bell. War is not a choice. Records show that since the beginning of time humanity has been in a constant battle. Whether it was nomads fighting for land, or empires attempting to have all control, war has always been inevitable. People will always have different opinions and because of that, people will always have problems with each other, and there will always be war as a consequence.

I do believe war is a choice. But it is not the choice of the young men who fought in the great war, not a choice of the soldier. It is the choice of the respective government, it is that government's responsibility to decide the fate of the (modern day) men and women who have enlisted and are ready and willing to give their life for their cause.

War is a choice, because it all just depends on how the leaders want to approach the issue at hand. If they take aggressive measures to try and solve their problems, it will most likely lead to a war. If they choose to take non-violent measures, well, it's a 50-50 chance that the other side will continue what they are doing or they decide to help come up with a solution in hopes of not going to war.

best looked at on a case to case basis. War, takes as much if not more than it gives. Some would say its useless in the long run. but imagine a sibling taking away something you care about. Do you retaliate, or do you call for peace by letting him or her have it? if you choose to take one for the team than think of this. He or She does it again, then again. and the concept of "yours" becomes more and more blurred. War of course having many reasons for starting. But choosing to start war indicates that you alone have the choice. War isn't chosen, its tolerated. .
