This case involved a 62 year old female who came in to the office for a routine follow up appointment. She complained of post nasal drip, runny nose, and occasional congestion that started a week ago. She reports she gets these allergies every couple of months when pollen is high. The symptoms are only nasal. She has tried Tylenol and Zyrtec with minimal improvement. Her symptoms are made worse when she goes outside and cuts the grass. She also has a known diagnosis of primary hypertension and will need refills on her Losartan. She will be started on Flonase and try a different antihistamine and has been instructed to call the office if there is no improvement in 3 days.
