1. No matter where you go, a smartphone will always be beneficial to you. You'll be able to find places nearby to eat and entertain yourself. It also comes in handy when you need directions.
2. A Universal Studios Annual Pass will give you access to the park all year round. There's so much to do at Universal... rides, nightlife, shows, events, shopping and dining.
3. A nice place of worship is the St. James Cathedral in the downtown area. Sometimes when people move to new places, they may not know where to go.
4. You may have to familiarize yourself with the local slang of Orlando. Colonial Drive is commonly called "50". And the East-West Expressway is called the "408".
5. I suggest you always carry Sunblock, many people in Florida use it on a daily basis to protect their skin from harmful UV rays.

Similar to Aristotle's beliefs, Stephen Hawking believes that our questions can be answered through science. Hawking believes that philosophers "haven't kept up with modern developments in science", and that reminds me how Aristotle disagreed with Plato and his beliefs of reason. Like a scientist, Aristotle believed that truth is based on physical observation and that reason without observing the subject can't be trusted.

Philosophy has influenced modern thinking in a way that is beneficial to us. Today, we are a more educated society. We think in different way depending on different situations. We use empiricism to prove and rationalism is more based on concept that cannot be proven by a rule/system.

Do you think the American Dream can happen in other geographic locations besides the United States? Give an example and support your answer with an explanation. - 1/31/2017

I believe there can be similar counterparts of the American Dream in other geographic locations, but not "the American Dream" itself.

Throughout history, the American Dream was an inspiration for both immigrant and native born Americans. It encouraged people to pursue their goals. It was an opportunity to better the lives of their children. Their expectation was always that the next generations should do better than previous generations. Through this, people were more encouraged to seek education, own their own home, and seek skilled, higher paying jobs through their own efforts.

Other nations have their own idea of their national dream. The Chinese dream, for example, stresses entrepreneurship and glorifies individual self-improvement.

Other versions of "the American Dream" in other nations have similar characteristics that pertain to individuals seeking to better either themselves, society, or their family, by acting on their goals which were influenced by their ideals.

I find question number 2, regarding the type of residence someone lives in problematic. The purpose of census is to collect population data and provide socioeconomic demographics to determine the need for federal funding.

Homeless people do not have a permanent address. This should be considered, when rewording question #2, in order for us to have more accurate statistics on the demographics across the U.S. With this information, the federal government might be able to address a more efficient way to tackle poverty in America.

I would only revise the options and add the option of "No permanent address".

The social function of the Colosseum (70-82 C.E.) was used to host gladiatorial contests, battles, and brutal sports. Many people would come to see these venues for entertainment

Today, we use amphitheatres, like football stadiums, to host many different sporting events and performances, less bloody ones though. Both social venues allowed masses of people to be entertained, surrounding the central performance area.

Both the medieval Christian churches and Hindu temples used symbolism to express the ideas and beliefs of the their own faith. Both were to serve as the center of important social and economic functions. The Church discouraged erotic nude sculptures while the Hindu temple invited it. This is probably based on the two religions beliefs on how the human body should be represented. The Hindu temples were designed to bring human and gods together, and I think the church was used to connect to god through a Priest.

The Swastika is a well known symbol throughout the world. It has traditionally been a sign of good fortune and well being. The Nazi Party used the swastika in a similar way, but this was only a sign of good fortune for the Nazi conception of the Aryan race. The same party that wanted their people to prosper, also came up with the "Final Solution to the Jewish Question", which led to the extermination of some 6 million Jews during World War 2. Though the Swastika is viewed as a symbol of peace among many eastern relgions and much of Asia, it is seen as a reminder to many Jews and Westerners of the atrocities that occured during Nazi Germany.
