Pocket is a web and mobile app that allows users to save articles, videos, and web pages to read later. I can organise saved content into tags for easier retrieval and can access them offline. The tags I used for Pocket were “Travelling” and “Food”, in which any article I found useful relating the topics I saved to these tags. I can store articles and blogs on well-known travel places, travel advice, and travel guides using Pocket to manage knowledge about travel. Since you can use the app offline and read while travelling or on a plane, I found Pocket to be very handy for collecting lengthy articles about various travel places.

 

Users of Pinterest, an image-based social networking platform, may find and bookmark ideas for various projects and hobbies. I am a frequent user of Pinterest where I can save further inspiration. I can organise my pins into boards and follow other people's boards depending on my own interests and searches. I discovered that Pinterest is helpful for organising travel-related material since I can save traveller images, travel guides, and travel advice on my travel board. I also loved that I could save travel photographs on Pinterest so I could plan my journey using visual representations of other travellers' places. 

 

In conclusion, while both Pinterest and Pocket are excellent tools for managing digital content, their approaches to information sharing and organisation are different. While Pinterest is excellent for finding visual content and gathering inspiration into boards, Pocket is useful for organising long-form articles and storing them for offline reading. Both platforms are excellent for organising information on travel and food, but I prefer Pinterest since I tend to learn best visually and get inspiration from others' usage of images. I've also discovered that the Pinterest comment section can be quite beneficial.
