The narrator recalls to his past about Clementine and his childhood bully. "Within seconds, the tribe was screaming, roaring- Pag! Pag! Pag!- chanting along with the impact of each punch. There was a pop from Beecher's nose" (Meltzer 19). The book shows  only Beecher's inner thoughts.

Whoever did this to Orlando...to be able to hide the book in that chair...to have access to the SCIF...it has to be someone on staff, or at least, someone with access to that room.'" (Meltzer 310).   
       I believe this is the most impotant piece of dialogue because it shows that Beecher and Clementine are realzing that there is a traitor in the White House and they are now closer to finding out who it is by using only people who have access to the archives.
