Every day Pobble releases a writing prompt with story starters, sentence challenges and word banks. There are several free customisable learning opportunities including themed lessons on topics such as Fair Trade, able to be selected according to age group.
There are customisable lesson plans, theme based, curriculum-based lessons, literacy and writing prompts, lesson activities, exemplars and collaboration options available for a paid premium membership.
You can also edit and share unlimited Pobble content through printing/pdf, creating a lesson link (for 3rd party applications) and through Pobble's pupil tools.

Students can be guided through complete lessons using imagery as prompts then create their own response and share on the site.

There are ample opportunities for professional development on the site with webinars, moderation tools, and training.

I often hear the whining question in class "When am I ever going to need to write this, Miss?" Kathleen explains how the benefits of educational blogging encourage reluctant writers to write for a purpose. Through blogging, students purposefully communicate and converse with others in literacy they are familiar with.

There are also printable graphics for display in the classroom, visible reminders for when these questions are asked!

Ryan posted this one in his Padlet. I've seen teachers do similar activities in class such as rewrite this paragraph using adjectives or write a compound sentence using this prompt. I would love some more time to look into this as I feel students can be self motivated to improve punctuation if left to reach certain milestones in the program.
