         <title>Kath Walker</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Emma &amp; Dakota ☺<br>:<br>Kath Walker was a poet, activist and public speaker. She joined various corporations to boost Indigenous power, she fought every way she could. Soon enough, she became a very well known Aboriginal spokesperson. Her first poetry collection was published in 1964 named 'We Are Going'. In 'Digger J Jones' there was an appearance of two of her famous poems named 'Song of Hope' and 'The Dawn is on Hand'.<br><br>She joined various constitutions such as:<br>- The Australian Women's Army Service in 1941<br>-  Queensland Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Straight Islanders in 1958<br>- She became the first Queensland state secretary in 1962 for Federal Council for Aboriginal Advancement (FCAA)<br>-  She joined a constitution which would have increased Indigenous rights and power, but when it failed she established the National Tribal Council<br>-  She established 'Moongalba' as an educational and cultural centre back on Stradbroke Island, thousands of Aboriginal and white people came along to learn about the Aboriginal culture<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Henry Lawson by Maddy and Chloe

Henry Lawson was an Australian writer and bush poet who wrote within the colonial period. With an impressive reputation, he is often referred to as &#39; Australia&#39;s greatest short story writer&#39;. Some of his well know short stories include: 
The Drover&#39;s wife, The loaded dog, The bush undertaker and the Union buries it&#39;s dead. 
In the book the poet Henry Lawson&#39;s poem appears on page 103 under the chapter  &#39; Darce and me do double fish licking&#39;.

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Imogen and Avneet <br><br>in the book there is a chapter the is about football it's called the punch on, the footy and the nun. the page number is 66. <br><br>In the 1960s AFL was called VFL,  the VFL, the decade opened with Melbourne competing in there 7th grand final. Essendon and Richmond would share the spoils for most premierships and Melbourne would win its last premiership in 1964. The VFL Night series was in full swing, with non finalists competing in an 8 team knockout competition at Lake Oval.   </div>]]></description>

They were protesting about their work pay and conditions they were going through. The british people gave them harsh work conditions. Now they wanted their land back. PM Gough Whitlman gave the Aboriginals their rights back and let them have the land. This was a very significant day that the aboriginals will remember.<br><br></div>]]></description>
