So here we spoke about everything we know within Crime and Punishment e.g. Death Penalty and Mentality
Then below we have our original pitch on Crime and Punishment, so we have so many ways of interpreting this stimulus such as; Horror, Abstract, In Yer Face theatre and Naturalistic. We discussed what we wanted to focus on like characters within prison and Death Penalty 100 years in the past.

]]> 2017-02-19 12:31:17 UTC https://padlet.com/chloeamandahull/ewh491cbheim/wish/154790573 Verbatim chloeamandahull https://padlet.com/chloeamandahull/ewh491cbheim/wish/154791543 In our piece we decided to involve some Verbatim, as when we all did some individual research Mitch found a Letter, which was written by two sons who wrote it to their Mum who was in prison. We all read the letter and immediately decided to keep it and make a scene out of it.
So the reason we decided to add the element of Verbatim because we felt its more powerful using actually words in which someone actually wrote either in prison or on Death Row. It also added another layer of feeling to the piece, as our piece is all one tone and very dark, so by adding a sad and heart warming scene we felt it would make the overall piece more complex and enjoyable to watch.

Here is the actual letter:
"Never thought id go down this path, if I could I would of never done half the stuff I did back then. It changes you entirely... The first time I did the drug Heroin I um ... um loved it so much I tried chasing the feeling... You never could get it back, I um tried splitting up a fight and  I stabbed someone Unwilling!... I do deserve to be here I took a life"

    So overall we had 6 different scenes in our montage, and all of which we Opened the show with all of the cast and Closed the show with all the cast.
