Firefighters have preventing a fire from destroying a home in County Limerick.
The emergency call came in around 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon. Incredibly, within just 10 minutes, two units from Cappamore were at the scene of the house fire in Barna, Pallasgreen. 


A Limerick woman has said she would happily risk future parking fines in order to "watch that second half again" after seeing the hurlers beat Galway on Sunday.
Eileen Breen tweeted after Limerick's sensational victory in Salthill, during which she received a fixed penalty notice for parking in the wrong location: "Dear Galway Gardai. I’d pay 3 parking fines just to watch that 2nd half again. Happy Mother’s Day to ye all."

The Gaelic Grounds will host Limerick v Clare in next Sunday’s Allianz Hurling League quarter final.
Limerick won the toss for home advantage this Monday ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend Shannonside derby.

Paddy is doing too parades on St Patrick Day and he will miss the Irish Match.

A 17-year old boy died after a car   struck a ditch in Tubberyquinn, Ballyneety.  3 other passengers were injured. The incident has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission as a result of earlier interaction between the crashed car and Gardaí. 

2 Limerick girls Ciara O'Brien and Larissa McCarthy are among 9 finalist in a speech writing competition. Ciara is from  Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ  and Larissa is from Coláiste Íde agus Íosaf in Abbeyfeale. Their speeches will be based on women’s rights and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. 

People from all over Limerick were at King John's Castle for the Ney Years Eve/St. Patricks Day fireworks display. The fireworks were postponed to Saturday after flooding caused the New Years Eve fireworks to be cancelled. Liverpool beat Watford 5-0 Saturday night. Salah scored four of them and Firmino scored one.

A bomber has been caught in Austin Texas. He caused five explosions over 18 days. The police were able to track him because he sent two packages on Expressway. At the scene police opened fire but the bomber detonated an explosive attached to him and when the smoke cleared he was dead.

Tierna and Aryn were in England for 3 days. When they came home Tierna's brother said he hurt his back because the landing was so rough. Paramedics were called and he was taken to hospital. Now he is out and is in a lot of pain. Even after that the weekend was good. In England they went to Sadie's 80th party and went to a trampoline park.
