Of the many accomplishments of American society, a few stand out above the rest. First, the victory against the British in the American Revolution established the American experiment of a government of the people, by the people and for the people with all being created equal under the law. Second, the US was the first country to land a man on the moon, July 16, 1969 solidifying the US as the premier country in the world. And Third, the internet, initially established by the government in the 1960's, it was used for academics and official government business, but in the 1990's it expanded and eventually morphed into what we know today. Although, religious freedom is a foundation of the US, Christianity is at the base of the foundations of America. The Legacy of the USA consists of certain values as well as law and order. Additionally, the culture of America has influenced the world in many ways.
