The goal is to find my own treasure.
Follow the walking path, look for the only tree with yellow leaves, then cross the dark, hard river, the entrance to the Silent Land in front of the explorer.
Although the adventurer was there, she could not find the true entrance of the Land, so she took out her crystal ball and called for help. She discovers that there are a number of conditions to earn tickets: she can make sounds using her body but she has to pay with her voice, which means not speaking; and she must follow instructions so as not to distract the citizens of the Land. So she did that and the gate opened. The first part is called the "Green area". The place where citizens plant the most significant trees, so visitors will not distract citizens, is also the time when citizens can have time to prepare for the visit of the external creature. The explorer was asked to just step on the green section, so she did. It was so soft, the sound was so light it was barely audible by the human ear, but it was impossible. The explorer can listen to her footsteps when she notices it. Light fell from the sky, through the branches and leaves, hitting the ground. The ground is covered, patched with the area of sunshine and no sunshine. The green area leads her to the White Blooming Area. This area is covered with reeds and it is white. 'Visitors can touch the flower but they can't take it away' - it's a guide for her to touch it, feel the roughness on her finger. On the ground of the white blossoming area, there are old brown branches and branches. The explorers are required to step on these things to make sound. 'Crack Crack' the forte of old broken branches and leaves created in the footsteps of an explorer. Parallel to this sound, the breeze blew, hitting her ear and passing through the leaves, making a pianissimo sound. She paused, closed her eyes and focused on the other senses. There are birds chirping.
'Ah! Another bird on the left, and another on the right.' She thought.
The sound is not soft and she can feel the energy through the sounds, like the mezzo piano sound. The feeling of freezing and warmth of the sun touched the explorer's face, while giving her a strange feeling, but she liked it.
'Did you find your treasure yet?'- a voice in her head came from. It may come from the citizens.
'Are there gold coins or something rare that I can use?'
'Focus on your senses, relax, listen deeply...'
The sounds of wind, the sounds of difference birds was tweeting and psithurism blend together, creating a unique song that helps the soul adventurers relax.
'Ah, I think I understood it. I have not had the connection to this country and still finding it. But somehow I have the connection with this park. It reminds me in the past, when I had the homesick and could not hold my emotion. I would come to this park and cried. From that time until now, this girl was so busy that she did not have time to find a place and express her feeling, but now, she was here. My mind was filled up with lots of thoughts when I stopped walking: about the assessments, about jobs, about my sadness, about my future. And I felt the pain on my chest, ‘where is my joy?’, I wonder. ‘When was the last time I am truly happy and relax?’ The pain on my chest came up again when I asked myself this question. The Land was so happy and active with its joy, by listening to the song of The Land, I felt the grief inside me. I wonder why I had this grief. Living in the other country, far away from my family, I need to be strong, to be grown up and I have forced myself to be mature quickly. I closed my eyes and listened carefully, the voice inner me came up, ‘Why you need to force yourself?'. The trees and the reed flowers growing every day, little by little. They are not forced by anything, they let themselves be growing and enjoy in every state. The birds is not forced to tweet, it tweets with joy. ‘We cannot hurry the river. We have to move with its currents and understand its ways’ (Rose U, 2017) She talked about the river, and I believe that her sentence can be talked about life too. And I realised the thing I did wrong. Nowadays, I could see children are forcing to be successful in academic way, what they need to do to have a rich life in future, to earn money and honour, having good grade, have great job, consciously and unconsciously, like me. However, are they free to grow in the environment where they can be themselves, not being forced and earn their joyful moment. Victor Wooten taught me that the freedom is the important element for successful learning, if we force students to learn something, the smile in their face will be gone (2013) So I thought back to myself, I did something that harm my feeling, created a grief inside which I thought it was so normal to be an issue. And now when I was in the nature, far away from the busy world which keep me running with it, nature listen to me and help me to listen to myself deeply, which I did not find out in the busy world. My stories could not be told to anyone, but somehow, I can listen to it deeply inside my head. As an educator, I want to my students to be the best as they can, creat the environment when children are free to express themselves, rather than telling them what to do. The early years are important for the child's life-time develoment (Jack P 2009). Therefore, giving all the opportunity that I can to help develop children's development with their smile on their face and the joy in their heart, creating the good memories, is my responsibility.
