I think that most of the audience didn’t feel pity for Macbeth because of the things he did. Although he was the protagonist, he didn’t really fit the average role because nobody should really pity Macbeth after what he did. Macbeth went on a killing spree of innocent people, just so he could get his spot as king, and feel less paranoid about it being taken by somebody. I didn’t feel any pity for Macbeth because he killed Duncan(the king), Banquo(his best friend), and Macduff’s family. Any murderer shouldn’t be pitied because you should see that they took many people’s lives that didn’t deserve to die.

Macbeth had definitely sacrificed who he was to become king; yet he didn’t know that he would be doing this before he had killed Duncan. Right after he had killed Duncan, Macbeth had changed forever, instead of him being a trusted, strong soldier, he became a murderous traitor. In general, people can achieve what they want without sacrificing who they are, yet it’s pretty hard. Usually people have big goals, and these goals may seem nearly impossible, because of this, they may have to work very hard to achieve these goals, or do a shortcut such as murder, or something that will impact their sanity. The saying, there’s no shortcuts in life, fits here because Macbeth took the shortcut of killing Duncan so he could become king, and he was punished.

interpretation plays a big role in everything, i mean just looking at macbeth and our free-for-all questions. because of how we all interpreted the play differently, the way we answered more obscure questions were vastly different from one another

The first prophecies did nothing to harm macbeth and they were flat out what was going to happen. Macbeth chose to kill Duncan, Banquo, and Macduff's family, which makes the witches mad at him. The witches never intended Macbeth to kill people, so they wanted to see him fail after he killed all of the people. That is why they made the second set of prophecies twisted so they would hurt Macbeth.

I am moving on to the next part of the question. I think that in life interpretation plays a big role in life because in movies whenever there are bullies people begin to think that they are just awful people but then often times they see their home life and it is usually awful so it makes one interpret why they are the way they are and realize that is not really who they are.

I feel that Macbeth could have made the witches' mad at the beginning, or they could have given him his first prophecies for a random reason, and then got mad at him afterwards because of what he did with the first prophecies.

I feel that the witches were against Macbeth because they could of just made the prophecies flat out and told him what was going to happen. They most likely knew that macbeth was going to believe exactly what they said, so they wanted Macbeth to reach his downfall.

Yes we interpret people as something without knowing their whole story most of the time. This is a big part of life because we have to really get to know the whole story behind a person to really interpret and understand who they are.
