- Theory of Multiple Intelligences
- Helped understand that different students need personalized educational environment

Gardner's theory was based on senses. He did not believe that was one thing to describe how intelligent you are. So he broke it up in 8 different categories (musical, visual-spatial, intrapersonal, naturalistic, logical-mathematical, verbal-linguistic, interpersonal, and bodily-kinesthetic).

1. Gardner's theory can be used in education because teachers can find were their students have their weaknesses and strengths and use this theory to make kids learn better or stronger
2. Gardner's theory can be used in parenting because if the parent/guardian wants the child to learn something, they can do it in a way that the child understands
3. I connect to his theory because I'm not the best at math and I don't enjoy it. But I find myself learning quicker with music or body-kinesthetic. Since I am a dancer I find that more interesting and more of my intelligence go to that rather than math

- Theory of Education
- In Montessori schools, children have more freedom and space to be themselves

Maria Montessori theory was based off of children's nurture and their potential to learn. She believed that children should have their own materials and space in a classroom rather than just sitting down and learning.

1. Theory of Education can we used in education because it helps these kids the most. The teachers can let the kids learn the best that they can instead of having to learn in a desk and take notes
2. Theory of Education can be used in parenting because every parent wants what's best for their child so their education is very important. This method and theory will help because parents can teach their kids at their own pace
3. I connect to Theory of Education because I think it's best everyone should be able to learn the way it's best for them. I always had trouble learning so extra help and so many other important ways of learning impacted my life

- Theory of Cognitive Development
- Learn basic senses (smell, hearing, taste, touch, sight), motor movements, language

As we get older we go through 4 stages (sensory motor stage, pre operational stage, concrete operational, and formal operational) as we grow and learn. Every stage is simpler than the other because your starting from birth and go to adulthood. In each stage you learn and develop different and harder things.

1. Cognitive Development can be used in education because if a child has a hard time the teachers knows what stage they are and how they can help
2. Cognitive Development can be used in parenting because when you're at this certain age, the parents have ways or toys to help the child grow
3. I can connect to Cognitive Development because I see the things that helped me when I was younger and the things that are helping me now. Cognitive Development helps me grow and learn.

- Hierarchy of Needs
- Learn the needs every person needs/has in life to grow, be safe, and keep them motivated

Abraham Maslow believed that there's a level to every person that they should be able to achieve to move on to the next. At every place or stage that you are at in your life Maslow believed that you need physiological needs, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self/actualization

1. Hierarchy of Needs can be used in education because in order to keep child motivated schools have to have respectful staff, positive classroom environment, know that they are protected and safe
2. Hierarchy of Needs can be used in parenting because in order for a kid to trust their parents they need to feel loved, safety and security, sleep, food/water, relationships
3. I can connect to Hierarchy of Needs because in my home life, in the classroom, and even at my dance studio each parent, teacher, or instructor makes us feel loved and included even when things aren't right

- Theory of behavior
- Kids learn between right and wrong. They learn the behaviors at home or in the classroom

BF skinner believed that behavior is caused by rewards and punishments. Many behaviors are repetitive because of the rewards. If a kid knows they will get candy if they do all their homework they they'll try to get it done

1. Theory of behavior can be used in education because kids can be awarded for good tests/quiz or be in time-out because of doing something wrong
2. Theory of behavior can be used in parenting because parents teach their children between right and wrong by rewards or punishments. Which make kids do what they do
3. I can connect to Theory of behavior because when I was younger and report cards came out and if my sister and I did good, we would get a prize. Or if I didn't eat all my food or did something bad I would have to sit at the dinner table or be in time out

There are 8 stages and each stage you develop, mature, learn to trust, and so much more. Obviously the first stage is the most important because it shapes who you are as a person.

1. Psychosocial development can be used in education because the teachers can base off their lessons and information off of the stages and level the kids are at
2. Psychosocial development can be used in parenting because each parents teaches differently but these stages can help by teaching the kids
3. Social interactions & society contribute cognitive learning. Social helps kids develop and grow. Helps kids learn how to speak and socialize at a younger age.

1. Sociocultural theory can be used in education because language plays a role in education and can know how to speak to the teacher and classmates
2. Sociocultural theory can be used in parenting because it will help kids learn how to speak clearly to their parent or guardian. Will know how to ask for things and talk
3. I can connect to Sociocultural theory because I always had a hard time speaking to people. But once when I become close and friendly with them, I become very social. Being social with people has helped me a lot because I have multiple people I can talk to when I need them

So teachers can have different activities for different learners so everyone understands what's going on
2. Theory of taxonomy can be used in parenting because some things might have to be explained slower to make sure the kids understand it clearer
3.
