Massive open online courses (Moocs) extend their reach to thousands more.
Reduce not Replace

Short Answer - NO, but keep reading if you want a measly amount of hope for believing that your dreadful preschool teacher might finally be kicked out of the school in the upcoming years.

Being a teacher is not just about teaching stuff, there are other minutiae and nuances at play here. Various researches and studies show that the human interaction(or intervention, if you may) is necessary even if the schools are using computers and online programs to teach their students. For instance, a computer cannot create a culture of excellence, promote leadership, motivate students or build a sense of responsibility among students.

Now to the interesting part of the answer, what if we can develop an artificially intelligent humanoid as depicted in the famous show 'Westworld'?

Well, in that case- Yes. But it is still a far fetched reality, although there has been some progress. You might wanna read about the Jill Watson HERE, an AI teaching assistant to Professor Ashok Goel at Georgia Institute of Technology. Students never knew that their queries were being answered by an AI rather than a human before Prof. Ashok himself revealed so.

AI machines will not replace teachers, but rather allow schools to address three challenging situations: when schools lack expert teachers, when expert teachers must tackle an array of student needs, and when expert teachers need to teach more than academic content.
There’s also an opinion that robots won’t replace teachers because they can’t inspire students.
Stanford University and the Mathematica policy research group, found online pupils falling far behind their counterparts in the classroom. In maths, it was the equivalent of pupils having missed an entire year in school.
https://goo.gl/hnq5b1

Robot being used with a 6 year old autistic boy. The robot is copying the boys movements. Initially the boys doesn't like it but after a while the boys starts enjoying the robot copying him. This robot is being developed to help people learn basic tasks.
The robot is being used in Korean schools where technology is embraced.
One concern is students will start to see technology as educators and not people.
Most computer scientists reply that they have neither the intention, nor the ability, to replace human teachers. The great hope for robots, said Patricia Kuhl, co-director of the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences at the University of Washington, “is that with the right kind of technology at a critical period in a child’s development, they could supplement learning in the classroom.”
