In the picture of Stalin, I noticed that the he has his hand out as if he were lending a hand of help or care. It's as if the painting is trying to sell the idea of a "caring community" or a "safe place" once you support Stalinism. I noticed that many pictures of spiritual figures, such as Jesus, are shown to have their hands reaching out as to heal someone. I think that this aspect of the painting really drawns some people in as well as his warm smile and fatherly figure (or uncle figure) sort of familiar look to him. I also noticed that in the paintings of the boys working and the women, you are depicting the unfair working conditions and no freedom that they were promised, but they are depicted as if they are happy or having a fun time working. You can tell that they are working very hard and doing hard work, yet they aren't depicted as completely grueling, hard work.

1. The first painting is a painting of Stalin and he is holding his hand out maybe to make it seen as if he is very nice and caring. He is also alone in the picture to show that he is the only on in charge.
2. The second painting is a painting of young boys or teens working and I think this painting was supposed to encourage people to work hard for the country.
3. The third painting is a painting of women carrying stuff and it also looks as if they are working really hard as well and this maybe shows that

1. in the first painting, there is a picture of Stalin looking all friendly and welcoming, a lot more so than he really is. this painting portrays none of the reality of what socialist realism really is. socialist realism was supposed to be real and beneficial, but there was a rather dark reality, especially behind closed doors. there is also a flag in the background to show a good deal of nationalism.
2. in the second painting, there are young men working in the factories, who labor look easy, effortless, and enjoyable for them. this portrays real happiness in the work force

He is reaching his hand out towards the viewer/audience as if he is helping them or even welcoming them.
2. In this photo, it portrays everyone working together. None of the workers appear to be depressed or sad, and they all look to be pretty content and happy with all of the hard work they are doing.
3. In the last painting, it shows a lot of women walking happily towards their work. The bright colors portray the content and joyful feelings they have towards working.

He's holding his hand out, portraying a welcoming image. The flags show that he's leading the commuinist movement.
2. In the second picture, there are younger boys, working with steel (one of the largest exports). This portrays them all working together, in what seems to be a perfect harmony. They look healthy, and hardworking. One of them even looks happy.
3. In the third picture, there are women in a field that is bright and sunny and beautiful. They look like they are strong, free women.

1.In the first photo the Stalin appears welcoming and generous. The photo does not depict Stalin to be deified, but he seems friendly and relatable. This evokes a feeling of prosperity (element of socialist realism) within the Stalin and overall Russian society. Along with this, he is seen extending his arm as a form of welcoming, showing that the people should join him.
2. The photo of the young steel workers depicts several young boys working. Yes, the are doing hard work, but they are not depicted to be suffering. One boy in red almost looks happy and excited to work.

He also has flags behind him, showing his nationalism.
2. The brightly colored clothes in this picture depict a happy workplace, and the young boy in the middle seems content. The faces that are visible are handsome, and overall this painting is very idealistic.
3. These peasant women working in the beautiful fields shows a beautiful place to work and a utopian world. The peasants are in a beautiful meadow of light, and they are smiling as they work.

He just looks like a simple kind man in the photo rather than a powerful leader.
2. In the second photo there are many young kids that seem to be working very hard. They are working along side of older men, so you know they are doing just as hard of work as they are.
3. In the third picture, the scene of a pretty sky and a pretty field. It sets up this pretty scene and the women don't seem to be struggling.

In this picture, people appear to be working in some sort of factory. One of the guys actually looks happy to be there but we know that the factory conditions were very bad during this time and most people were very miserable. All of the men appear to be working very hard.
3. This picture displays peasants walking through a field. They seem to be very content and the painter made their surroundings very bright and happy.

HIs hand is also out as if to help or give a hand to the viewer, even more welcoming. The flags behind him also represent his nationalism and leadership for communism. This image was used to persuade people to move to Russia for a happy life.
2. The boys look happy, strong, and healthy, as if they are enjoying this horrible work. This is glorifying factory work for the citizens to join.

His hands are reaching out like he is inviting you to come with him. It's manipulative in a way because again this was not the was he presented himself in reality.
2.
