Of course, everyone is different but many studies show the mental, physical, and emotional benefits of getting outdoors. And I believe that humans have a primal connection to the outdoors so this theme would be all about conveying that. I know for me personally I get a feeling deep within my chest like in my soul when I am outdoors so with this theme I want to try and put that on paper. 

These pieces turned out really nice but I definitely would want to make more digital work and go off of some of my "10 ways to further explore this theme" ideas.

The elements of this theme can still be applied to some of my other ideas. I love how rough and rugged the Western aesthetic is and how it can evoke a sense of freedom, which I would love to convey in my work. If this were my theme I would work to try to present and express everything I love about cowboys and what made me obsessed with them in the first place.

This theme is most likely a no. But I did really like the film like editing and the flash photography.

I love nature and time outdoors, but sometimes I get caught up in grand summits, views, and experiences. Through this theme, I was able to reconnect with my childhood love of insects and small creatures I used to find in my backyard. I also love this theme because these small invertebrates are the backbone of many ecosystems so I could connect my love for science and art. And my time creating these pieces allowed me to think about how much I appreciate the little things in nature.

While I don't think this will be my theme I would still like to explore many of my ideas for this theme through the Connection between Humans and Nature. 

I really loved drawing all the bugs for my poster and exploring Oregon Ridge to get cool pictures of other bugs.
