It is more than just a project for me since I am helping with our Out of the Darkness walk in April. I spent several class periods preparing for the presentation. To be honest with you, I actually like presenting things I am passionate about. Suicide is a big deal to me and I do not think of it as a joke. Researching statistics about suicide made me what to do more about spreading awareness for it. The statistics in the United States alone was frightening. Since I was very invested in it, I feel like that makes it my strongest composition. There were several elements that went into the campaign. There was a pitch video, promotional items, posters, flyers, brochures, and I even made an interactive PowerPoint. This project was very fun to put time into and I learned how to use Google and other web resources to produce professional looking pieces.

I think we had a good idea going but I definitely think if we had some other resources we could make our bottle more eco friendly. For example, I would like to make our plastic bottles better for reuse. Maybe find a way to make the silverware fit back into the bottle or make the bottle out of a plastic that won’t leach out chemicals over time so you could reuse the bottle hundreds of time (cleaning between each use obviously OOOHHH we could even make it dishwasher friendly!!!). I don’t think we had a bad idea like some of the other groups (yes I’m throwing shade at the clay cup group and the vending machine group LOL). I have learned many fun new ways to complete items. I definitely but using Padlet in college to help store all my work. I will continue to use Scrible in college to help annotate any online items and to help with my works cited. I definitely think Padlet was my favorite thing we’ve used in this class. If I ever need to make a professional looking flyer/poster/brochure, I will use Canva as well. I am grateful that you have showed us this amazing resources that I can continue to use once this class is over as well as in college. My grades have always been very important to me, but my freshman year I really slacked off and only got B’s in my academic classes. Within the last two years, I have gone through some terrible experiences. I have always sought out to get good grades to help combat the hardships going on in my personal life. Right before junior year started I went through a horrible and messy break up of a two year long relationship. When school started I made it a goal of mine to do better than just B’s. I know I can do better than that. I am ending AP calculus with a C and that has been so devastating to me. Although this is my first ever C, I have accepted it and I am proud of myself. I tried my absolute hardest in that class. I worked my butt off. This set back has motivated me to try harder to make straight A’s to end my senior year. Throughout high school hardships and drama, I have believed in “faking it til you make it”. That phrase to me means that I need to fake being happy and positive about anything negative going on until I truly happy and positive. It has helped me so much through high school. As a freshman, I never wanted senior year to come and to graduate. I didn’t want to grow up. Since then I am so excited to graduate. I am so ready to be on my own and make mistakes and learn from them. I used to be concerned with dressing nice, wearing makeup, and doing my hair everyday, as well as caring about others opinions of me in ninth grade. I have learned to care that other people’s opinions don’t matter. If I am happy, that’s all that matters. It’s been real BHasty. This won’t be the last time you see me..
