Odysseus is an epic hero because he is very a passionate and humble king. In the passage it says "I have nothing of te immortal about me, neither in my body or mind, and most resemble those among you most afflicted". This shows that he cares for his people and wants to be more like them.

The climax of the story is when Odysseus reveals himself to the suitors. In the passage it says "Dogs, did you think that I should not come back from Troy?... You have feared neither God nor man, and now you shall die." This shows that Odysseus

has returned and is back to Ithica, which means he will fight off the suitors and get his kingdom back.

The moment the story's resolution happens is when Odysseus reveals who he is to Penelope. In the text it says "My son, I am so lost in astonishment that I can find no words in which either to ask questions or to answer them." This quote shows that Penelope is so amazed that Odysseus was back and did not know what to say. She was so amazed because everyone thought Odysseus was dead and gone but the only people to truly believe he was alive was his family.

In the graphic novel the quote was removed. I believe that they removed the quote because the author wanted to make it seem like Odysseus was pained when he would think about this. The way it was worded helped me think this. The original passage was a lot more clear because the author actually had detail about what happened, and didn't just gloss over and leave it out.

The graphic novel shows how much love Odysseus and Penelope share with each other. On other pages it shows them hugging and embracing each other. Although the graphic novel shows things well, the original is much more thorough. The original showed more emotion.
