Confucius was an early Chinese philosopher whose beliefs were widely shared across ancient China. He lived for approximately seventy-two years, from about 551 BCE to his death in 479 BCE. He worked as a teacher, ruler, and philosopher, and his works were recorded in ancient Chinese script. He resided in the eastern half of China, between modern-day Shanghai and Beijing. He was a key figure in developing many fundamental Chinese beliefs that still exist today.
("Confucius", Biogrpahy)
