Hey! my name is Nico Parsons from Creative writing. I love anthropology, the study of cultures, and had the idea to create a completely fictional culture and flesh out its different art forms, like literature, music, fine art and dance. If you like the idea of experimenting with a completely unique art style that this world has never seen before, then this might be for you! We would start by drastically changing the starting conditions of our humans/species and then figuring out how this culture would develop its art forms differently than we did. (Example: How would a culture of blind people develop dance, if the only way for them to experience dancing is by physical sensation and not sight? Or: how would a culture develop music, in a country (or planet even) with no trees, meaning no wooden instruments?) Of course, these are just examples and I would love to hear your own ideas, so if this seems interesting to you, hit me up!

an improvised performance

Me (Lucas Willemsen, drums), Wang (trombone), Rosa (singer) and Juwon Choi (piano) are thinking about doing a very improvised performance.

We would like having some dancers to react to and dance to the music. And a painter to paint some kind of ''abstract sheet music'' (In a very simple way i thought of, so no stress!) in realtime.

The ending would be that the painter would abruptly paint a big red stripe through the whole painting. At the same time the music also would stop very abruptly.
This is to create the sense as if everything was planned out beforehand. Ofcourse nothing is planned out;)

I am looking in ways to connect jazz improv music with dance impro with some other ways of visual art such as writing, painting... I am open to hear new ideas inspirations!

Our first idea is to do something with mice that meet each other on a human table and then fall in love. We would like to do something light that makes us happy because there is already so much sadness in the world, but this first idea can still change of course.

We have a group of three singers, two people from music theatre, one or two people from creative writing and someone from fine art. We'd like a dancer to join as well! We're thinking about making a performance with sand mirrors and clocks centred around the concept of the end of the world and time running out.

My name is Sasha, I'm from Dance department. I'd like to make a performace with every discipline possible. The idea is to confuse audience which people are from which department. I see it like for example during the performance first we all do "our" work, then we shift so dancers sing, writers dance, musicians act, actors play instruments etc. And what's the most interesting for me in this idea is the process of preparing it, since I was thinking that maybe everyone can share something about how they create things on their department, maybe their discipline's lifehack for everyday life or just something that can be interesting to non-professional. Like that we can know more about each others' art.
This project can be connected to any idea or image, I just come out with the proposal of the way to create. Also, don't want to stick to one idea, feel free to suggest something else.
And maybe if you're brave and curious to try and know more about other forms of art, maybe this idea is for you!
