Prince partap singh (300950905)
Ramandeep Singh Plaha
(301049361)
Toyota Canada
the top three things that we found Toyota emphasized successfully in its work culture are :-
1.Building Well Structured teams:
They focus on building the teams strong by training and by giving them the recognition they deserve. they apply their four P's model problem solving, people and partners, process, and philosophy. they use their philosophies to keep their employees motivated.
2. Work Culture:
They emphasize a lot on their work culture. they structure the work according to their teams. they consider their employee teams as power of the center. their focus is to build a teamwork environment by motivating them and doing some team building activities.
3. Training and Education:
Toyota believes in continual education. They use job rotation to build individual competencies of their employees. Their training programs also focus on teaching employees not only technical skills but also to work as a team and support each other. they also teach their employees core values and principles such as "Good Thinking Makes Good Product.

2. Would you be comfortable in such an environment, why or why not?
Yes, it would be great for us to work in this kind of company as the company works in an organized manner. Their employees are not just a number. They accommodate every employee by providing them proper training that enables them to think and solve any problem by themselves. Employees are served by their leader, which makes everyone an important part of organization.
3: Treasure chest:
The treasure chest is another excellent team building activity.

Ask each member of your team to write down on a piece of paper something that they want in life.

Once they have done this, place all the ideas into a treasure chest (or something similar) and pull out the pieces of paper one by one.

Between the group, everyone should discuss how the person could reach these things that they want in life

Ontario Reality Corp.
Activities to engage every team member :
1. Human Knot :
Its is a good activity teach how how strong we can become when we are together. Basically what they have to do is gather in a circle tell everyone to put their right hands in the air and grab onto someone's hand in the circle. Then tell them to link left hands with someone else across the circle. ask them if they can untangle themselves without letting go of anyone's hand.
2. Worst Job Ever

Ask every team member to explain about funny and worst thing about their previous job, whether it was because of the role they were in, or because of their boss.

This can introduce some humor, make people realize that their previous jobs weren’t so bad and allow people to know whether others have worked.

Moreover, management team will be able to get more information about their thinking level, needs and desires. As a leader I will be able to direct team member according to their interests

2.Now how would you adapt or change those activities if your organization had a merger or conflict?
If anyone is having conflict or employees tend to still have chaos in between. we would arrange seminar and a lunch afterwards to change their perspective so they can work together. A seminar would help to have a conversation without focus on individuals but on the whole team n general so no one takes offence. lunch will play an important role in bonding the employees together because food is something people share in common and connect on to.

I wouldn’t have to drag myself to work if I know that the company has chosen the best people I can work with that have the same mindset of achieving a success for a company who appreciates us and treat us a family so we can reach the organizational goal.

ONTARIO REALTY CORP.
1. Suppose you were to organize a retreat for your organization's annual employee professional development: explain 3 activities you'd conduct as part of this day

- Group Getting To Know – Even though we know each other very well at work. There are still people who are not that very close at work. I can see that this is a perfect opportunity to come up with groupings and put people who are not that close to be in one group. This happens in Amadeus where I was the event coordinator, we have 3 floors and as the event coordinator I made teams/groupings from different departments and come up with games like getting to know so they can feel comfortable with each other and be friends even after the retreat/event.

- Performance – have them prepare a performance either per department or per team before the event. This is very effective way because each member of the team will be motivated to give their ideas or opinions on what to perform. If it’s a cheering competition, dance competition or choir competition members of the team may contribute their skills and talents and this also builds friendship within the whole company.

- Team meeting – In Amadeus, we have monthly team meeting. Here we discuss how the team or the whole company is doing for the month or that quarter. During the team meeting our management also awards the employee of the month and give chocolates to the employees with good feedbacks from our clients. So its best to adapt this kind of activity in retreats so employees would feel motivated to work.

2. Now how would you adapt or change those activities if your organization had a merger or conflict?

- Yes because these activities would help employees in an organization to bond and build friendship. If there is a merge which happens when Amadeus bought Navitaire (1000 employees), we have to come up with activities that people from both companies would come to know each other. So it is best to make groupings that would include people from different departments to get to know and eventually be friends at work even if they’re from other departments or other floors.
