In my academic displine, many psychologists will use the American Psychological Association (APA) for publishing. There are two main types of writing within psychology, experimental reports and critical analysis's. APA provides a format where research and data can be explained in a consistant way, allowing for clarity throughout an essay or journal.

Research is massive part of psychology, without the many different types of research conduncted, the world of psychology would be void of evidence. Research is conducted in a few different ways, these include: observational studies, surveys, case studies and experiments. This allows for more extensive evidence regarding mental health issues and theories.

As someone who has expierenced anxiety myself, and has had friends and family struggle with mental health issues, psychology has always been a big interest of mine. My "dream" jobs have come and go from a career in the military, a career in criminal justice, and now a career in Early Childhood Education. However, one thing that has stayed the same was the desire for the job to include psychology. Psychology provides a "what", "how", and "why" for many of the issues people experience, and that provides a sense of clarity for me.
