Queenstown, New Zealand accommodation, travel tips and restaurants

WHAT looks like Norway, is one of the world's
greatest wine producing regions, is only a three hour flight away, and the
locals speak English, sort of?

It's Queenstown,
New Zealand, known as an adventure sport capital, but increasingly garnering a
reputation as a food and wine travel destination.

Now that Air New Zealand has introduced direct flights, it is three hours from Sydney,
two-and-a-half from Melbourne and a hassle-free arrival into a tiny airport.

Once in
the town, it is part ski resort, part fjord-like scenery with a set of
mountains called the Remarkables and the rest is a party town, with restaurants
bars, and even a strip club.

And if you try very hard, some travel tips and restaurants are needed for you to able to understand what the locals are saying.

Located in New Zealand's Southern Alps on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown claims to be "the premier four season lake and alpine resort in the Southern Hemisphere".

Queenstown's origins are as a source for greenstone, or nephrite jade, of cultural and artistic significance to the Maori population.

Maoris continued expeditions to the area well into the 19th century.

Then, around the same time as the gold rush in Australia at Ballarat and Bendigo, gold was discovered in the Arrow and Shotover rivers and the area boomed.

Today, Queenstown's action and adventure options include bushwalking, gondola rides, lake cruises, kayaking, scenic flights, hot air ballooning, parasailing and bungee jumping.

But there are also wine tours, to taste the world famous Central Otago pinot noir and, increasingly, white and sparkling wines from nearby Cromwell, Bannockburn and Alexandra.

Notable vineyards include Amisfield, where you can lunch practically amid the grapes, Akarua and Peregrine and Carrick wineries whose picturesque settings are reminiscent of Italy's Tuscany region.

For high end dining try Rata, which has a Michelin star chef, but if you've been out on the town and fancy a late night feed, you can't go past a famous Fergburger, which is open until the early hours of the morning.

Queenstown is famous for its boutique hotels, such as The Spire, which has large, beautiful rooms and Eichardts, a five-star hotel with a great bar for meeting up with friends.

News.com.au travelled to Queenstown as a guest of Air New Zealand and Destination
Queenstown.

Westward Housing Group: Find Out How We Are
Governed and Who Makes Decisions

Effective governance is key to a
successful organisation.

For Westward
as a business, this means having:

·
a
streamlined board structure;

·
board
members with diverse skills and experience;

·
leadership
and direction to achieve our vision and values;

·
the
highest degree of integrity across the organisation;

·
focussing
on our priorities - see How well are we doing?;

·
clear
accountability and transparency - follow this link to find out about how we spend our money and
what we are doing to drive performance and efficiency.

Proposal regarding Westward

The boards who manage Westward’s three
housing associations (Tarka Housing, Westcountry Housing and Westward) all
agree that we should now go ahead and bring these organisations and their
boards together formally. This will
allow us to work more efficiently and provide even better value for money.

Our service to customers
will not change as a result of this and councillors will still be able to raise
issues with us. We want to continue to create great homes and neighbourhoods
where people want to live and work. The staff who deliver our services will
continue to do so. Our customer Scrutiny Group will continue to check, monitor
and challenge the board and staff.

Our governance structure is shown
here: Westward governance structure
chart and includes:

·
a
common purpose board which governs Westward and Westcountry - CPB membership
biographies 2013;

·
a
separate board at Tarka - see biographies of Tarka membership 2013.

·
Customers
work in the Scrutiny Group to review our services in line with our commitment
to co-regulation.

The Tarka Board is made up of:

·
4
residents;

·
4
independent members;

·
4
nominees of Torridge District Council

The common purpose board has two
specialist sub-committees:

·
an
Audit and Risk Committee which operate on these terms of reference.pdf and

a
Governance Committee following these terms of reference pdf

·
The
residents' Scrutiny Panel links into the governance structure via the Audit and
Risk Committee.

The boards
provide leadership, direction, support and challenge and our senior management
team is responsible for delivering services.

Westward has
adopted the National Housing Federation’s codes of governance and
standards. We regularly assess
compliance with these standards and report the outcomes in our Annual Financial
Statements.

The government’s
Homes and Communities Agency regulates social housing and we comply with their
regulatory standards.

The history and identity of Williams & Connolly LLP are inextricably linked with the life of its founder, Edward Bennett Williams. Recognized as the greatest trial lawyer of his time, he was a spellbinding orator, but also a meticulous cross-examiner - a master in the courtroom, and a craftsman of the written brief. Williams was capable of the calculated theatrical gesture, but he also understood that the key to success in the courtroom was total preparation in advance.

To his colleagues, Williams was larger than life, a force of nature; to the sophisticated world in which he moved, a "giant among men." Although he was a counselor to presidents and the powerful, he was also the champion of unpopular, seemingly "hopeless" causes. In his hands, however, no cause was hopeless.

Williams combined extraordinary gifts of advocacy with a passion for justice. His commitment to excellence in advocacy and to the zealous representation of clients are his enduring legacy.

In 1967, Williams joined with his former student at Georgetown, Paul Connolly, to form Williams & Connolly. The firm set out to practice law the way its partners lived life - passionately. Williams called it "contest living," embracing the competition and fighting relentlessly to win.

Meir Ezra Genius Tour - The
Power of Intention

"If you intend something to happen, it happens, if you intend it to happen. Verbalization* is not the intention. The intention is the carrier wave which takes the verbalization along with it." -- L. Ron Hubbard(*verbalization: expressing oneself in words.)

When you use the correct level of intention in your communication, people pay attention to you.

For example, you are in a busy clothing store and need a clerk's help. With poor intention, you might wait all day. But with strong intention, you look at the clerk, his head whips around and he asks if he can help you.

When you add firm intention to your communication, you get better results.

For example, if you tell your children to clean up their rooms with weak intention, they continue to play around. If you tell them to clean their rooms with strong intention, they clean their rooms.

Intention at Work

Your job is easier when you use the correct amount of intention.

For example, a coworker named Chris likes to complain to you. Chris says, "I hate this crappy chair." "This weather is horrible." "Oh no, here comes Mr. Big again."

Tolerating or avoiding Chris resolves nothing. Your workplace remains stressful.

Yet if you look Chris in the eye and say, "Chris, stop complaining," you enjoy some wonderful results - if your intention is strong enough. It does not matter how loudly or softly you speak as verbalization has nothing to do with it. Your intention powers your statement.

A salesperson, with a strong intention to sell, gets more sales. A service representative, with a strong intention to make customers happy, makes customers happy. A job applicant, with a strong intention to land the job, gets the job.

A manager with poor intention gets little cooperation and eventually fails. However, a manager with strong intention, finds that his or her employees usually do what they were hired to do.

Exercise

1. Write down something that is difficult for you to get someone to do.

For example, your coworker Joe borrows your stapler and always forgets to bring it back. You need your stapler back, but it's always a hassle.

2. Practice asking for the thing you wrote in step #1. You can use a coach or friend, or even just talk to an object.

For our example, pretend to ask Joe to return your stapler, but use little or no intention. Really be weak.

You say, "Joe, return my stapler when you are done with it." However, in your mind, say, "Hi Joe, hey if you don't mind could you please return my stapler if you have nothing else to do please?"

Even though this seems silly, practice using very weak intention until you can do it easily.

3. Now practice use more intention than is necessary!

In this exercise step, you verbally say, "Joe, return my stapler when you are done with it" as you did in the step above, but now your intention is "JOE, BRING BACK MY STAPLER RIGHT NOW!"

Do this step a few times until you can do it easily.

For More Exercise

1. Next, use the correct amount of intention.

You still say, "Joe, return my stapler when you are done with it," and your intention is very clear: "Joe, return my stapler when you are done with it."

Your intention is not too weak and it is not too strong. It is just right.

Repeat this step a few times until it is comfortable for you.

2. When you are ready, go use your intention to get what you want. Get someone to do something that has been difficult for you to ask in the past. Get them to do what you ask.

If you use the correct amount of intention, the results will be amazing!

3. Repeat with anything that is difficult for you to get others to do.

You now have more power.

Meir Ezra: Orderly Progress = Power

Many of those who wish to succeed find relief and an improved attitude from this quote:
"THE TOTALITY OF POWER IS ORDERLY PROGRESS." — L. Ron Hubbard

Discouragement and frustration from not making your goals quickly enough are resolved through orderly progress.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed? If so, orderly progress becomes even more important. Confronting huge amounts of work is not overwhelming when you see yourself making orderly progress, even in small amounts, toward your goals.

Do you ever feel like you are losing ground or failing? If you map out your actual goal and move one inch closer on a regular basis, you have new power.

Do you ever feel like you are treading water and going nowhere? It is time for you to focus on some orderly progress.

How do you eat an elephant? How do you move a mountain? How to you reach huge goals? One mouthful, one rock and one step at a time.

Examples: giving a positive impression to one more person; learning one more new skill; lessening one bad habit, investing a few more dollars in savings. Daily progress in a specific direction creates long-term power when the progress is constant and orderly.

If you have been dissatisfied with your progress in life, or if you feel discouraged, overwhelmed or frustrated, make a list of orderly steps you can take every day and every week. Calm, direct, orderly steps.

Once you have your strategy worked out there is no need to worry about the past or the future—just concentrate on the present; on the steps of this plan. By putting order into your progress, nothing and nobody can stop you.

A mountain creek is more powerful than a granite boulder when the creek slowly and surely wears the boulder down. Orderly progress toward your goals starts with small, positive steps.

You can generate new power from this week forward. Deciding to have orderly progress is the first step.

Related Article:

Meir Ezra And "Good People"

Social Responsibility of Mossack
Fonseca

Social responsibility represents an important commitment for Mossack Fonseca and our affiliates. It is also a daily reminder about our responsibility towards society.

Every year we donate to various organizations that share our values and in so doing, we stretch out Mossack Fonseca’s helping hand. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility Program, we actively and voluntarily contribute to the positive development of human beings, especially those in dire need.

Learn about our work and share in our cause. The lens of the camera captures a fair image of what we do, but the impact of our work goes far beyond. Stretching out a helping hand and coming together to enhance the lives of other people is what motivates us to do more.

Mossack Fonseca is committed to helping communities, which is why our legal experts have provided legal assistance to many organizations, including:

Rotary Club of Boquete (Panama)

The British Aid Society

Aero Club of Panama

Kennel Club Foundation

Fundacion Confederation Canofila Panama

The World Bank

MOSSACK FONSECA HELPING HAND

Mossack Fonseca has a strong commitment to foster change where it is needed most. It is a way to remind ourselves daily about the responsibility we have towards society.

PIERO Rafael Martinez de la Hoz FOUNDATION

This organization provides emotional support to people and families who have lost loved ones through caregiving and educational programs. The Foundation seeks to create consciousness about the internal processes that take place, but are not always properly channeled, when people endure loss.

Its main purpose is to offer companionship, educate the community by disseminating information on how to confront grief, and offer training to different professionals to help them manage bereavement.

TOMATIS THERAPY AND STIMULATION FOUNDATION (fundet-TOMATIS)

The TOMATIS method owes its name to Dr. Alfred A. Tomatis, a French physician and researcher born in 1920. He was also a psychologist, speech language pathologist and a member of the French Academy of Sciences.

For him, listening was not the same as hearing because listening is affected by motivation and functional elements that depend on the will of the individual. Listening is far more than the passive act of registering sounds randomly.

In Panama, the Tomatis Therapy and Stimulation Foundation (FUNDET-TOMATIS) offers a wide range of programs for children and adults. The donations they receive enable them to offer free speech scholarships for Panamanian children who would not otherwise receive the timely and necessary help they require.

ART IN THE PARK FOUNDATION

Fundación Arte en el Parque is the first foundation from the city of Penonomé to promote artistic and cultural values in the province of Coclé and to create spaces and activities that also have an impact on cultural tourism. The VII Art in the Park Festival will serve as a forum for art in general and offer provincial artists an opportunity to make their talent known and present their works, thereby motivating emerging artists who also wish to participate. The Foundation is currently offering local Fine Arts scholarships and also conducts seminars and courses for the social and humanistic/liberal arts formation of artists and the general public.

SAINT JOSEPH PARISH FOUNDATION OF VALLE DE ANTÓN

Mossack Fonseca is pleased to cooperate with the work carried out by Fundación San Jose located in the Anton Valley, which responds to the basic needs of the local church and the neediest in the region, especially children. The projects being developed are focused primarily on social interest issues, education, health and cultural activities for children.

Foundation benefits include a library open to the public with more than 5000 volumes on diverse themes, as well as 30 computers with Internet access and open spaces for children and adolescents. The Foundation has also opened a Pastoral Health Home for the elderly which has its own grove to help feed them.

I am able FOUNDATION ("I AM CAPABLE" FOUNDATION)

From its inception, the Foundation’s mission has been to support individuals with autism. It also offers guidance to the public and to the families of those with this condition because if these individuals receive special care from an early age, they are capable of becoming a part of society.

Recent statistics show that 1 in every 88 children is affected by this condition and that 1 in every 54 is a boy. More than 50,000 people are stricken by autism in Panama, which is an alarming number for our society.

PANAMANIAN INSTITUTE FOR FAMILY EDUCATION – IPEF

The Panamanian Institute for Family Education is an organization accredited by the Ministry of Education which seeks to enrich the quality of life of the family, through meeting and dialogue spaces that encourage the exchange of knowledge and ideas. This organization seeks to provide each member of the family with the tools that will help them strengthen their relationships and develop their life projects.

Last June, the IPEF conducted the conference "Challenges of the XXI Century Family" and presented topics such as: Keys to Preventing Failure in the Educational Project and How to Strengthen the Self-Esteem and Identity of our Children.

Lessons Young Singaporeans Can Learn

3 Lessons Young Singaporeans Can Learn From the Retrenchment of Middle Aged PMETs

Once upon a time, getting a cushy PMET job and rising to senior management was the Singaporean dream. Claw your way to the top of the corporate ladder and you’d be in for a lifetime of cruising around in your Porsche and golfing at the country club.

But those days are gone, and middle-aged, highly-trained PMETs are now first in line for retrenchment at many companies. These people have not only been most affected by the increased spates of retrenchment last year, but are also having the hardest time finding jobs. Many of those who do find jobs take a huge pay cut or end up doing things like driving taxis.

Now, all this might sound awful, but is life really worse for someone who’s been earning $10,000 for the past 10 or 20 years only to lose his job, or for a lower income earner who’s been toiling away for 30 years but earning only $1,000 a month?

Obviously, the PMET should be in a much better place than his lower earning counterpart if he has played his cards right in his economically active days and saved and invested wisely. Unfortunately, we often get the reverse scenario, where PMETs are so mired in debt and their lifestyles are so expensive to upkeep that losing their job immediately becomes disastrous.

You might be young now, but in a decade or two you could be facing the same risk of being made redundant. Here are 3 things to never forget along the way.

Jump start your retirement savings and investments when you’re young

Judging by the number of Chanel handbags you see on the streets, young Singaporeans aren’t prioritising saving and investing, figuring they can handle that when they’re older, more boring and have higher earning power.

A 2014 report revealed that 36% of young Singaporeans had no savings at all, while 25% had less than $6,000. The generation before didn’t fare too well either, with an average of just $60,000 in savings.

The problem with this mentality is that it’s premised on the belief that it’ll be easier to save money at a later age. That isn’t the case for many of the PMET’s who’ve been retrenched and found that they were bogged down by car loans, housing loans and dependents to support.

If these people had prioritised saving and investing when they were younger, getting laid off might not have been as scary as it is right now.

Sure, they would have been earning much less in their younger days. But with the help of compounding interest and the benefit of a burgeoning economy, their money could have grown significantly over time—probably much more than it will ever grow in their remaining years before retirement.

The best time to start saving for retirement is when you’re young. Even if you can’t save as much as you think you will when you’re older, if you invest it wisely your money can work a lot harder than it can if you only start in middle age.

When you reach your forties or fifties and your risk of getting retrenched rises, if you already have a decent nest egg saved up you might see your derailed career plans as a rather welcome sign that it’s time to take it easy. If you haven’t, however, good luck.

Be wary of inflating your lifestyle as you rise through the ranks

The most recent Straits Times report on PMET retrenchment mentioned that some of the retrenched folks complained about being bogged down by financial obligations like car loans and housing mortgages, and lamented having to adjust their lifestyles.

That makes you wonder just how much of their lifestyle inflation was necessary to begin with, and how much was due to their wanting to live the high life and being complacent enough to think they’d be able to enjoy such high salaries for the rest of their careers.

Sure, your financial obligations do increase when you buy a home or have kids. But is it really necessary to go into debt just so you can be seen driving a BMW or pay more than a million bucks for a condo?

Young Singaporeans who are lulled into a false sense of security by a job market that makes employment readily available to the young and relatively cheap should take heed that the higher you climb, the more precarious your position will be, unless you are in field that renders you more or less immune to retrenchment (meaning you’re a teacher, doctor, data scientist, civil servant or similar).

You don’t really want to live like a king when the throne can be snatched from under you at any moment.

Never get complacent at work

Retrenchment might sound unfair to an outsider—after an employee has given a company the best years of his life, casting him aside sounds barbaric.

But ask any young Singaporean who’s been subject to the incompetent tyranny of middle and upper management folks well past their prime, and you’ll receive a different opinion.

Complaints about supervisors who are even less competent than rookie hires and manage their teams terribly are sadly quite common, and it’s not very difficult to say why these folks would be the first to get laid off.

Due to the fact that workplaces in Singapore are generally very hierarchical, many employees who are senior enough to become supervisors or managers get complacent about their jobs, thinking they can now rely on their subordinates to take the rap if things go wrong at work. Of course not everyone is like that, but ask around and you’ll find it’s more common than you think.

As a young employee who might one day be promoted, never forget that the higher your salary is, the harder it is to show you deserve it. You have to be more knowledgeable and better at your job than your subordinates are or risk being replaced.

That means constant upgrading, learning new things and at times being made to feel like an old dog trying to learn new tricks. It may sound like a bother, but that’s what you’re really being paid for.

ARTICLE REVIEW: Paternal
Great-Grandfather: John Hamilton of Cadzow, James Earl Hamilton Marsden

Sir John Hamilton of Cadzow, 4th Laird of Cadzow (b. bef. 1370 – d. c. 1402) was a Scottish nobleman and soldier.

He succeeded his father, David Hamilton of Cadzow, no later than 1392, when he appears on a charter of Andrew Murray of Touchadam as Dominus de Cadzow.

He was imprisoned, along with his brothers William and Andrew, in Norwich in 1396. Richard II of England ordered their release from the Mayor and bailies of that city on 29 June. It appears that their imprisonment was due to violations of the truce between the Kingdoms of England and Scotland. A John Hamilton, either his brother John Hamilton of Bardowie, or uncle John Hamilton of Fingalton, was released from the Tower of London on the same date. Hamilton and his uncle seem to have found themselves guests of the English again, when at a meeting of Border commissioners at Hawdenstank on 28 October 1398, the first point of business was the release of Hamilton of Cadzow, and Hamilton of Fingalton and others in their entourage. The Hamiltons had been caught at sea by English privateers, again in violation of the truce. The English were urged to release the ship and restore their goods to them, or alternatively pay suitable recompense.

There is no record of Hamilton’s death, though it is possible that he was one of the prisoner fatalities at the Battle of Homildon Hill in 1402, where a Sir John Hamilton, elder, appears on a list of captives.

Marriage and children

- John Hamilton married Janet or Jacoba Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas, 1st Lord Dalkeith, prior to 1388. It was thought that he had three sons by her:

- James Hamilton of Cadzow

- David Hamilton of Dalserf

- Walter Hamilton of Raploch

However DNA testing of descendants of James and Walter in the Hamilton Surname DNA Project show that these two did not have the same father. The DNA project shows that the descendants of Walter and his uncle John Hamilton of Fingalton are related, which suggests that James’s biological father was not from the same family.

For more info about this topic, click here.

A top human resources executive tells KI Woo how companies are building global-class infrastructures.

Building infrastructures that can help companies compete successfully against global competitors is fast becoming a top priority.

Acquiring, and more importantly, keeping the best talent is now viewed as a critical ingredient for building a sustainable and profitable business.

Edwin Sim, president and CEO of Pathfinder Asia Ltd and its affiliate Human Capital Alliance Ltd, said that as companies begin riding the economic recovery and become highly profitable again, they are all seeking ways to sustain growth by upgrading their management and operational infrastructures.

“Most companies are now saying they must further professionalise their operations,” he said.

After decades of establishing strong bases in Asia , many local family companies are now aiming to build sustainable global businesses and realise that they must develop appropriate infrastructures that will first attract and then retain top management talent.

A key infrastructure ingredient is developing an appropriate internal corporate culture that will attract management leaders. “Top professional business leaders thrive best in high-performance, meritocratic organisations,” he said.

The economy now features many large, family-controlled companies that are gradually evolving into professionally run organisations. These companies are constantly wrestling with issues such as how to meld the best Western management practices with Asia ’s unique culturally influenced business environment, he said.

Pathfinder Asia Ltd and Human Capital Alliance, he said, are led by experienced United States and Canadian-trained professionals who spent their formative education and business years in North America before returning to Asia .

“Our people have the ability to recognise and bridge the gap between Western management practices and the unique requirements of Asian family companies,” he said.

The key to developing successful global management practices in Asia and particularly in Thailand is knowing how to combine pragmatic, analytical-based Western business strategies with holistic Asian practices that emphasise balance and harmony.

“Successful Asian companies of the future will be those that can efficiently and effectively meld the best of both worlds,” he said.

Another key element is identifying and then dealing with the unique needs of a company’s stakeholders. An Asian family company’s stakeholder structure is in most cases much more complex than its Western counterpart.

A major reason for the difference is the family’s inherent influence in Asian cultures. “Family is business and business is family”.

In most Western companies, stakeholders are limited to their shareholders, management team, employees, communities and customers. However, in Asian companies, family relationships strongly influence stakeholders’ interactions.

“Stakeholders in Asian companies may simultaneously belong to several stakeholder groups, each representing a diverse range of often-competing interests,” he said.

For example, a family company’s management team may include executives in key functions throughout the company.

These executives are also share-holder/stakeholders. “These managers/shareholders’ interests in the company may have resulted from marriage to the founder’s children or grandchildren or nieces and nephews,” he said.

Any successful transition from a traditional family-run company to a professionally run company requires identifying and dealing with each company’s unique stakeholders’ interests before pragmatically applying the latest Western management practices, he said.

A CEO of an Asian family company, who may putatively control the board and may even represent the family bloc that controls a majority of the company’s shares, may not be able to act similarly to a Western company CEO because of these unique family relationships and the need to maintain balance and harmony.

“Thus the successful implementation of pragmatic Western-based business processes and the building of modern global-class business management infrastructures in many cases must be complemented with an acute awareness of the unique internal culture of most Asian companies,” he said.

Thailand has developed a strong core of top senior managers, who have been trained locally and overseas by major multinational companies, that can help major companies compete globally.

“Many top professional business managers are now realising that large, local family-owned companies may indeed now be where they can best maximise their own personal potential,” he said.

in real estate

Becoming rich in an instant is not the promise of real estate investment. One must exert great dedication and effort first before seeing great results. It is also required to learn the foundations in advance before putting them into practice. The firm of Bacall Development needs you to consider the helpful tips provided in the following paragraphs even if you're experienced or new to this enterprise.

Bacall Development is a comprehensive real estate firm that has been responsible for the complete ground-up development of several real estate developments in various U.S. states.

Nothing stays the same, even in the real estate market. What is popular today may not be popular tomorrow. In fact, during the past decade, the rental market was strong but has been weak in the recent years.

However, one shouldn't be scared to gamble in this venture because it is still possible to make money in real estate because it is considered a cycle and cycles have some level of predictability. This way, it is imaginable to earn a profit in your real estate business and run itself despite the constant changes in the real estate market.

Learning the basics often leads to smarter investment decisions. The basics are composed of tried and true methods as well as strategies and systems that worked in the past and are still working and will work in the future. Having all the significant tools to become flexible in real estate investment is crucial when the real estate market starts to change.

The following names the tips for investing in real estate prepared by the firm of Bacall Development.

Start planning. Entering this endeavor requires a good plan first, reviews said. Determining your long term real estate goals and short-term needs is important. Once your plan is developed, set up the proper entities and put the plan in place.

Determine your target market. You can't be all things in the real estate market. For example, start investing in the foreclosure market if foreclosure interests you, or if you want to be a landlord, focus your efforts to state owners.

Gain more knowledge. Educating yourself is also vital in real estate investment. You must learn new tactics, tips and strategies to help you earn more in real estate.

Master your finance. The business of real estate involves finance and marketing, so it's only natural to thoroughly comprehend the field of finance. One must understand the interest rates, loan programs, and mortgages available out there. You can properly negotiate your deals and sell your properties well if you fully understand how financing works.

Solve problems well. You can get real estate deals that others can't if you can properly solve problems. Being an effective investor is often about being ready to face the challenges of real estate investment all the time and to refrain from getting rip off and scammed.

Don't overthink. It's hard to be in an "analysis paralysis" state. Over-analyzing things won't help you come up with a good decision.

Be consistent. Finding good results in real estate investment requires consistent and persistent traits. Stick to your plan, and obtain more knowledge in real estate to become a great investor.

For more info, see related topicBacall Development: The benefits of investing in commercial property 9
