The war started in the late 1960s and ended 1998 in Northen Ireland. The reason the war started was becouse of protestands who didnt accept people in the Catholic religon. From 1960 to 1970 there where a lot of bombings. The Englands goverement had to send some soldiers to Northern Ireland to seperate protesters.

What Nicra and Derry decided was to go on a march to protest housing in the city. In this protest, approximately 100 people were injured.

The parade that was held between Belfast and Derry because of an attack. Arriving in Derry, the parade was broken up by police officers who walked around in plain clothes and not police uniforms .

A mixed patrol of British Army soldiers came to Lower Falls in Belfast. The IRA knew about a stash of hidden weapons. 3.000 troops imposed a curfew in Lower Falls and this was known as the Falls Curfew.

A referendum was held to debate whether Northern Ireland should remain a part of Britain or join the Republic of Ireland. This resulted in violence and a soldier ended up getting shot. The referendum ended by remaining in the United Kingdom.

The UVF was the cause of many shootings and bombings because of a truce that made the IRA fear that the British government would forsake them. Loyalists hoped for the truce to end. The attacks and killings were very brutal.

There was a bombing at the La Mon restaurant and eleven people died and thirty people were hurt. On the 17th of february the highest ranking soilders were killed in the Trouples.

What happened in Belfast was that the PIRA killed Richard Sykees On March 22, the PIRA assassinated Richard Sykes, who was the British ambassador to the Netherlands.

The McGurk's bombing was caused by the UVF and left 15 dead. They had placed a bomb on the porch entrance. The blast of the bomb caused a building to collapse.
