I think Rosa Parks should be able to keep her seat. I think that because the law that the blacks have to sit in the back and get up if there's no more room to for the whites to sit is stupid.

I think if I were Rosa Parks I would do the same thing because that law isn't fair. It sounds like all the white people make the laws. She shouldn't have gone to jail because it's not fair to the black people. $14.00 dollars back then was a lot.

Hi there! Today in Read-Aloud we learned about Ms. Rosa Parks, and her act of civil disobedience (choosing to break a law that you believe is unfair). I asked you what you thought of Rosa Parks' decision, and whether or not you would have done the same thing if you were in her position. Scroll down to see your answers.

In the last chapter, Martin had to make a decision on whether or not to keep going with this work. He decided to continue. He is making a personal sacrifice - sacrificing his own safety for the good of the struggle. When is a time in your life where you have made a sacrifice so that others may benefit?

Martin probably said that because if you love them then they won't hurt you back. I do think its a good idea to say that. If you hurt them then they will hurt you back, like let's say you bombed something of theirs then they will do it back.

I think dr. Martin Luther King chose a good thing because after everything he did it had changed the world. He believed that fighting physically wasn't right so he fought with his words. Martin has a famous speech that says "hate can't do hate but love can" at least something like that! "LOVE YOUR

I learned: that people actually got sprayed and got hurt by the hoses. I am thinking: that's good that the fire men and John F. Kennedy didn't agree with the people who said "spray them, get put the hoses, loose the dogs" and stuff like that. My question: I wonder exactly how many people did the march when the kids and other people. Martin Luther king jr. is way way way better than the white people.

I think that the kids did the right thing because if the jails where very full then there woulden't be any room in the jail for all of the kids and there would just be more and more kids. So I wonder why the white people went that far and got fire hoses and gard dogs. Why do people do this so much I mean really first thing it's not nice at all and second of all the white people needed to not do this so much to the black people. Oh and what I would do if I was a black person I would purtend to be a cop and attack the other white cop with the gard dog
