first edict Jews were not able to leave there house for three days the punishment was death if they did also Jews were forbidden to own gold jewelry or any valuables and had to give them to the authorities and if not it would be death as penalty eliezer dad burned there savings.

three days later a new decree was informed was they had to wear a yellow star.

the second edict they didnt let them go to restaurants or cafes and to travel by rail and to be on the streets after six o clock in the evening then to come to the ghettos the ghettos were two parts eliezer after went to a meeting and was told bad news once he went back they were asking him what happens and what's the news all he said was transport and if he talked and said what happened they would shoot him they heard rumors they were going to work in a brick factory .

this helps eliezer develop and starts to get worry and focusing on his family

this event is important because he is worried what's going to happen to his family

eliezer and Jews were taken by a cart they were thirsty and they didn't eat to satisfy there hunger once they stopped a German officer stepped in and told every one if they still have valuables hand them over or else you will get shoot and if one of u go missing u will all get shot and there is a lady going mad she will always scream fire and her son would try to helps her but she didnt care and she kept screaming fire threw out there trip they had men to force he to sit down and they thought she was thirsty and the flames was devouring her someone near a window said to all of the aschwitz they stopped and a German officer said if they have gold this there last stop they saw flames and it smelled bad they arrived at birkenau

this event shows that eliezer was going to a camp but threw out the ride to the camp there was a lady going mad always saying "fire look flames " but there was nothing there until they got to there first camp which the flames smelled like burnig flesh

a ss officer said women to the right men to the left he left his mother and sister due to the rules the ss officer gave them a inmate told him to lie about his age that he's 18 insted of 15 inmates said they would die by getting burned and the baton ask for ur age ur healrh and ur profession the baton send eliezer and his father to the left to were the cremation was at and eliezer was scared and angry they made them get naked only carry there shoes and go to the barber to get there head shaved they made them shower in a liquid then rinse off with hot shower then get there clothes they all got beat he went to row call thats when he meet the angel of death

this event shows eliezer how his life is going to be from now on work get a small portion of food get beaten if u didnt do a lot of work and they sleep all bunch up in small rooms

eliezer was asking the vets what block was the best they said buna they had a doctor check on eliezer and the rest of the inmates they ask questions if there ok and the dentist on the other hand would tell them to open there mouth not to check for decay but for golden teeth they want to take his golden crown and he caught a ss and a girl doing things and on the crate he got hit with a pipe on his back and they said if he tells anyone he will receive five times more they saw 2 kids get hanged one died and the other one still hanging but he was breathing

this moment is significant because eliezer saw how the ss officers really are cs he caught one with a girl and got beat in front of every inmate with a pole and how they hanged 2 kids and didn't care

eliezer stoped believing in a god he started to feel betrayed eliezer started to eat as a sign of rebellion to God to protest to him they tranferred eliezer to a different kommando then they were going to get moved to a different camp but they had a choice to stay at the old one but eliezer wound re open but he still went on to the other because they were probably going to blow up and they were marching in the snow

this event shows that eliezer is staring to quit on his religion because he saying that no god would make his children go threw this type of suffering and he was supposed to be on a fast but he eat because he was protesting his god for he could show he starting to quit on his religion

the ss officer made the inmates go faster and if they fall back they would get shoot the prisoners worse and they would have to kill a certain amount of prisoners and less food and more work and under 30 degree they sleep almost half naked the march was pain full they were all freezing eliezer would past every one and then slow down a bit then get the pace back they stopped to hide in abandoned buildings they tryed to go to the first building but eliezer father said not here lets go further then later on the ss started to call them out to keep on going thru stopped for a cart waiting to get picked up they were given a pieces bread and a spoon and some one use the spoon to eat the snow off the other inmates then they all started to do it

this moment is also important because eliezer was wounded and was running for a long period of time then his father started to get weaker which worried him cause he wants his dad to keep pushing and to stay with him

they went in to the wagon the ss officer would throw bread and the inmates would fight for it trying to kill each other for a piece of bread people would sharpen there nails teeth there was an old man with bread and his son jumped on him for the bread and took the bread but the sons father died but the son divour the bread then the men started to jump him for the bread eliezer got strangled but eliezer freed him self

this moment is also important because eliezer relized what people would do for food they would kill but eliezer was strangled probably for there was less people to fight but eliezer freed him self but now eliezer knows its every man for its self

eliezer arrived to his new camp and ss officers were waiting for them and told them to form ranks of five eliezer dad gave up on living he was weak exhausted and eliezer wasnt arguing with his dad no more but death itself the death that he had already chosen eliezer said this because his dad was giving up and he wanted to lay down but they had to move on but his father just wanted to lay there and die cause he couldnt go on anymore but eliezer wanted his dad to keep on going an alarm went off and eliezer kept taking care of his father
