Hi everyone! We have briefly talked about invasive species and their effects on the environments they inhabit. Your job today is to pick one invasive species and answer the questions at the end of this post. I have provided a link to a list of invasive species to choose from (listed under "Species Profiles" toward the top of the screen). You will post your responses on this board.
Questions:
1. What is the name of the invasive species you chose? Provide a picture!
2. Where did it come from?
3. What area did it invade and how did it get there?
4. How did it negatively affect the new area?
5. What do you think could be done to prevent more members of the species from invading the area?
