Sickle Cell Anemia
At 14 months Anna weighed 20 lbs, 2 oz and 26 inches she was taken to the hospital due to a 101.4 degrees, was lethargic, breathing problems and appeared to be in lots of pain.ical exam showed that she had pale skin, nails, and lips, Anna was short of breath, her heart rate was rapid at 75 bpm and above normal, and her lymph nodes are normal, she just seemed very tired. Anna hadn't had much of an appetite for a couple of days, she has a bright red diaper rash, has been experiencing diarrhea for two days, and she's been urinating more than normal.
Tests and Results:

C

CT scan shows that her spleen is abnormal

Sickle Cell test shows that she has SCA

Anna was diagnosed with SCA, severe anemia and splenic sequestration (sickling in the splenic vein causing blood in the spleen to collect and enlarge). Anna was treated with intravenous hydration, administration of pain medication, RBC transfusion, and prescribed antibiotics.
Type 1 Diabetes
Anna is 14 years old and fairly active. Anna weighs 103 lbs and is 5'0" . Anna went to the hospital because she's very fatigued, constantly thirsty, urinates more than usual and lost 10lbs even though her diet and level of exercise hasn't changed. Her activity level has decreased because of how lethargic she's become.
There's family history of high cholesterol and heart disease. Everything in her physical exam appears to be normal. there's occasional tingling in her feet. The Lab Analysis shows that there no abnormalities in the RBC, WBC or platelet count, she doesn't have strep throat and that there's glucose in the blood. Anna was sent for GTT and tested positive for diabetes.
Anna was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and hyperglycemia.
Heart disease
37 years old, 5'4'', and a blood pressure of 140/72. Anna went to the hospital for a full cardiac evaluation after two self-resolved chest pain incidents. Anna doesn't smoke, eats a diet high in fats and calories, she consumes 3 glasses of wine each day after work, and has no formalized exercise. anna takes daily aspirin and at home Yoga as needed to cope with stress and work.
Tests and Results:
Anna had blood work done, a cardiac stress test with EKG and a echocardiogram. Anna then took an agiiogram after seeing the results. The physical exam showed that Anna's heart
rate is 90-105 , her blood pressure valves averaged 142/85,she has a slight heart murmur and her waist is 33 inches. In the cardiac testing it revealed that after only 8 minutes of walking at a speed of 3.5mph Anna's blood pressure boiled to 190/110. The EKG showed heart murmur. The Echocardiogram revealed that the left ventricle is slightly enlarged but within normal limits and that her mitral valve doesn't close tightly.
Lab. Analysis
Total cholesterol is 389 mg/dl , LDL is 243 mg/dl ,FDL is 60 mg/dl , Triglycerides is 145 mg/dl. Her CBC results are still normal. Her fasting blood sugar is 85 mg/dl and Hemoglobin A1c is 7.1%
Anna was diagnosed with a slight heart murmur, hypertension, and heart disease, hypercholestermia, and pre ventricular contractions
Infection
Anna was 38, blood pressure of 140/90 and weighed 165 lbs.
After a painful stay in the hospital for sickle cell disease. She reported pain in her lower extremities.During her stay, the pain in her lower legs was so severe that she was confined to her bed and used a urinary catheter. She tested positive for serratia marcescens, and has a UTI

Anna took one too many pills and ended up overdosing on them, from this she fainted onto the floor and her skull cracked against the skull. Anna bled out and died. Anna hadn't been in a fight that led to her death. No one tried to cover anything up, Anna died on her own.

On her left thigh there are red injection sites. This causes me to belive that Anna had an allergic reaction, used her Epi Pen but didn't respond fast enough and died. All the blood and head injuries are from her falling.

There was an unknown substance found at the Garcia residence. Multiple substance were tested to match it to the crime scene. The unknown substance is Asprin because once the other indicators were used both substances reacted to all 3 indicators exactly alike. The Unknown Substance shared more like/similar results with Asprin than any other substances. Indicator 2 caused the Unknown Source to bubble/sizzle and then turn black. this result was only shared between the Unknown Substance and Asprin. Also, both subtances shared the same reaction to indicators 1 and 3. From this it can be concluded that the Unknown Substance was Asprin because all reactions to each indicator were identical to one another.
