There are many reasons to why the Amazon rainforest is so valuable. These are the main reasons: Economic, Environmental, locally and globally. Firstly, it is vital economically as it contributes to 8.2 billion dollars a year in Brazil, including (rubber and timber) being one of the biggest producers for natural rubber, additionally providing the local region with income through the tourism industry. Secondly, it is environmentally as it is home to 10% percent of earth's animals and 50% of earth's plants, not forgetting the fact that it helps regulate the entire planet's atmosphere, capturing 5 billion tons of Co2.

I believe that the rainforest has economical social and environmental benefits. This includes having a positive impact on our wellbeing by providing us with oxygen. When we cut these trees down, it is limiting us to the amount of oxygen we will have if we keep cutting them down. Medication is a big health care product that has materials and minerals that are found in the rainforest. When talking about economical benefits, the rainforest is a benefit for tourism. This boosts the economy and helps stop deforestation.

The Amazon is a diverse tropical ecosystem which deserves to be preserved. One of the most important reasons why the amazon should be preserved is due to exotic flora and fauna in which benefit humanity and the environment. Moreover, the amazon creates 6% of the worlds oxygen as it absorbs a surplus amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Additionally, 31,000,000 people reside and live within the Amazon, therefore they are forced to co-exist with the wildlife and the plants in the area, considering that they gain benefits from each other.
Economically, the amazon produces tourism for the countries in which the rainforests covers, primarily Brazil. In this case, the amazon provides a copious amount money for the countries.

The rainforests are valuable because of the amount of oxygen it gives us. The world is wasting a load of money trying to make carbon capture and storage work while the trees in the rainforests do it for us. Gives us medicines. It is doing jobs for the whole world. The trees are valuable due to the ability to absorb atmospheric carbon and release oxygen. Rainforests around the world capture something like 5 billion tons of carbon dioxide. Amazon covers an area larger than Europe.
