The Common Core State Standards are beneficial to children, the three tactics described illustrate that they place a greater emphasis on the development of gifted pupils. As a future instructor of these children, the CCSS is beneficial because it addresses numerous standards at once, allowing the children to do more. Students will learn more successfully, and assignments will be completed in a timely manner.

The Common Core State Standards provide consistency for students, allowing them to understand what is expected of them. This is significant because if a student understands what and why they are learning something, they will have a stronger sense of purpose in learning it. Furthermore, CCSS can facilitate policies that benefit gifted students, such as academic acceleration, which is based on clear expectations of what students should know and be able to do at specific grade levels.

The Common Core State Standards arose from a simple idea: that creating one set of challenging academic expectations for all students would improve achievement and college readiness. But the idea proved to be the only thing that was simple about the common core. Pure and simple, they are descriptions of the skills students should have at each grade level in English/language arts and math by the time they finish high school. They’re not a detailed, day-to-day curriculum; they’re a broad outline of learning expectations from which teachers or district leaders craft a curriculum.

Many of those goals are included in the Common Core at each grade level, but there are a few common elements. The emphasis in language arts standards is on using evidence to support arguments. Students will write more viewpoints than personal narratives. They'll be required to read more nonfiction as well. The math standards concentrate on fewer subjects but in more depth.

States used to set their own academic standards, which might be rather different in terms of difficulty. The purpose of common standards is to ensure that all public school children, regardless of where they live, are prepared for college and careers when they graduate from high school. Writing assignments are less on personal tales like "What I did on my summer vacation" and more about evidence-based arguments. Math standards concentrate on fewer, more in-depth topics that should develop logically from school to grade.

The Common Core standards were developed in 2009 and 2010 by two state organizations, the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers. However, they are currently in the headlines because states are beginning to embrace the Common Core as the foundation for state tests. As the standards progress from theory to practice, parents and legislators are becoming more aware of them and, in some cases, more concerned about them. The Common Core requirements are more difficult than those used by most states previously, and students are performing worse on these assessments.
