Student is required to sign a SAP Contract in order to get their financial aid

Student will be placed on a probationary semester where aid is received

Student will be required to follow action plan created by student and EOP/Compact Counselor

Student will need to continue monthly meetings with their EOP/Compact Counselor

Student will not receive financial aid

Student will NOT receive aid for the following term and SAP hold will remain

Student is recommended to meet with their EOP/Compact Counselor or Adolfo Garcia (EOPOS Financial Aid Specialist) to explore their options

Hold is removed at the end of probationary term as long as SAP standards are met (GPA & completion rate). Student will no longer be on SAP Probation for the following term.

Pay for tuition out of pocket (6-12 units)

If you choose to pay for half-time or full-time tuition and meet SAP standards end of term without financial aid, you can contact the Office of Financial Aid so they can remove SAP hold and get your aid reinstated for the following term

Do a Leave of Absence before the semester starts and drop your current enrolled classes before add/drop deadline to avoid a billing issue

The term you plan to return, you can submit a SAP appeal again (this means you can't use the same reason you used for your last SAP Appeal). You will also have to indicate what you did during LOA and keep in mind the SAP appeal has to be approved

During a leave of absence you can take classes at the community college to stay on track (only if transfer units haven't been maxed out)

Student can take CC courses that are transferable, if their GPA is above 2.0 or higher at the community college the Office of Financial aid will remove SAP hold and regain their eligibility for financial aid
