After Alfred Nobel's brother was killed from an explosion a newspaper was put out that Alfred Nobel had died instead of his brother. This brought many to think that Alfred Nobel was dead for a while.

Alfred invented 355 things, most notable being dynamite.

His father, Immanuel Nobel would move his family to Finland and he would go to Russia. There his wife, Andriette Nobel would start a grocery store and Immanuel would start a mechanical workshop where he would provide equipment for the Russian army. Five years later Immanuel moved his family to Russia where Alfred was put in a first class school. There he would learn multiple languages. At age 17 Alfred traveled to Sweden, Germany, France, and the United States, France being his favorite is where he met a famous chemist who three years earlier had invented nitroglycerine. He decided to work for the famous chemist, T.J. Pelouze.
