The Derwent Watercolor brand of watercolor pencils is widely considered to be the industry standard. The Watercolor series has 72 colors and can be utilized for any type of artistic expression.

After they have been allowed to dry, the colors can be re-wetted and painted over if necessary because they are not permanent.

The pencil shaft is hexagonal and navy blue. These pencil set is lightfast with soft lead.

The Derwent Watercolour pencils blend beautifully with water; each color just seems to blend into the next with little effort. When you use the super soft leads dry, they have a waxy feel to them, but when you brush on some water, they look a lot like a paint wash.

Inktense is basically just ink in pencil form. There are two things that make them different from watercolor pencils. Even though they are water-soluble at first, they are ink, so once they are dry, water won't make them work again. This makes them permanent.

Allow me to explain more. These pencils can be used in a lot of different ways because they can be used with water to make colors that look like ink. Since Inktense is permanent once it has dried, you can work on top of it without affecting the layer underneath. It can be used on fabric as well as other surfaces.
