Consider a current social trend that you have witnessed, perhaps situated around family, education, transportation, or finances. Choose a sociological approach—functionalism, conflict theory, or symbolic interactionism—to describe, explain, and analyze the social issue you choose. Afterward, determine why you chose the approach you did. Does it suit your own way of thinking? Or does it offer the most relevant method of illuminating the social issue?

Foreign countries like places in Asia (Japan), the development of electrical cars has grown compared to the United States. This can help the environment in the future. Unlike the United States, Europe has less car usage. They have walkable places, and public transportation. This can also help the environment in the future.

The use of technology in cultures can be positive or negative. It all depends on how society uses it and how they portray it. For example in foreign countries technology is limited. The government has either removed it or limited it to the population.

Social media is one of the greatest platforms that form and communicate societal norms. Whether it is fashion, food, cancel culture and what behavior is deemed as acceptable . For example, “the great debate” about women wearing braids for their birthdays. It has recently been pushed that girls/women shouldn’t wear braids on their birthday because it is not considered as “a birthday hair style.” That later then forces the younger and upcoming generation to think that braids are unacceptable and they should conform to wearing $300+ lace wigs for their birthday. Another example would be theshaderoom. People have lacked the fundamental skill of reading sources to their entirety and determining if a source is reliable. Which also leads people on these media sites to run with headlines and propoganda which can lead to the spread of misinformation.
