When I arrived at the resort, I was greeted by Farah, who also from UMK and currently doing her SIEP 2. We talked for awhile and she showed me around the office.
2. 9.30 am - I met with Ika, permanent staff at the resort. She explained about the booking system, rules and regulations at the premise and gave few tips on how to entertain walk-in guest or via phone/whatsapp.
3. 10.30 am - Since there were no customers, I took a walk around the resort to get familiar with the new workplace. I get acquainted with housekeeping staffs, Sah and Mimi and also other staff members of the resort.
4. 11.30 am - I got to meet the owner of the resort, Madam Rosliza or Kak Za for first day morning briefing. She told me about herself and the resort background.

6. 2.30 pm - I followed housekeeping staff to clean up the rooms and they showed me on how to prepare the bed, arrange the amenities and handling the store items for housekeeping work.
7. 4.30 pm - Back to the receptionist area and helped to arrange groceries item at the mini market.

2. 9.30 am - Monitoring the booking system and study on the package especially the price of each room available at the resort. There were eight types of room available at the resort: Standard, Deluxe, Cabin View, Shera View A, B, C, Shera Suite and Orange House.
3. 11.00 am - Accompany housekeeping staffs to clean up the room at Cabin View, Standard and Deluxe.

5. 2.30 pm - Arranging groceries items at the mini mart.
6. 3.00 pm - Continue helping housekeeping staffs clean up room after guest had check-out.

6. 3.00 pm - Help staff prepared the telematch items for customer's booking. Stayed at the reception area and entertain walk-in guests that want to pay for swimming pool.

** Working here at the resort gave me a new experience and has widen my knowledge about tourism/ hospitality industry. I met a lot of people that are so kind and willing to share their experience with me. For that, I am deeply grateful for having this opportunity to learn a lot of things. Thank you.
** After doing my SIEP (1, 2 & 3) and learned about entrepreneurship and tourism courses at UMK for the past 3 years, I have an idea to start up my own recreation park which is glamping park in Kelantan.
