The church means that love between, for example, two guys is against what they believe in. They think God created us in a specific way that shouldn’t be changed. We should be happy and respectful for the way we are made, and that love should only be between a man and a woman. The church also says that sex between two persons in the same gender is against human nature.

These people lived at a time when homosexuality was a sin, and when women also were looked at as less important than men. A lot has changed since that time.

Nearly every homosexual child/teen born into a religious community that condemns homosexuality, will have a far bigger moral problem than the rest of us. About 84 percent of the world has some sort of faith, and for many people, that is a good influence in their life. However, this still leaves 16 percent who are not religous at all.
