Sophie was feeling left out because she couldn't swim but her friend could. I would also feel sad. Her friends build her a raft built out of logs so that Sophie could ride the raft while Hattie and Owen swam beside her. I can really picture this part because in Canada when I went riding on a canoe with my cousin we got to paddle and sail places just like Sophie in the book. I wonder would the raft would work on ice in the winter? When she got to monsterland, she said where are the monsters? There were bunnies but it turned out that the bunnies were bad because they were eating everything. They ate trees. They are the grass and they spoke a language called cuteness language. The bunnies wanted to eat the princess in black. Her horse named blackie understood them. Blackie was also sniffles the unicorn. The princess didn't get eaten but she was late for brunch so she had lunch instead. Winston wanted to come but Sophie said that Winston couldn't come because he was too little. Winston followed her anyway but he got hurt on the way. Sophie was tying logs together but the knots kept on coming undone. Sophie remembered that Winston was a junior scout and that he could tie knots that would not come undone. She went to look for Winston but couldn't find him. She found him near butterfly brook and he had already built his own fort. In Canada, my cousins and I found some forts but we didn't like them so we built our own fort. I could really picture when the knots kept coming undone because sometimes when I try to tie knots they come undone. Sophie accidentally woke it up and said that winter fun and asked the hedgehog to play with her and her friends. They built a snowman and had a snowball fight and went ice skating. When Sophie was ice skating, she realized she didn't have the scarf that her mom knitted with her. The retraced their steps and found the scarf on the snowman.
