         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students will look at a Google Slide presentation each with an animal on it, and they will have to decipher whether or not the animal lived in the past or lives in the present, and analyze the animal to decide what it's past or present counterpart would be. (I.E: A wooly mammoth analyzed and declared to be connected to elephants.)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Augmentation because you can use accurate pictures for each animal represented, and large enough for all to see, whereas without technology, you could do this activity, but you would need to print out pictures of the various animals and just hope that all students can see the material and are fully engaged.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Redefinition because the footage shown on YouTube has proven to be extremely valuable and detailed, whereas an activity like this prior to tech would have been a teacher trying to find VHS or DVD clips of the various animals, and then showing each one and trying to facilitate discussion, which would flow much more organically following an internet video clip. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Using a combination of Microsoft Paint and Voicethread, students will create two fantasy animals - one from the past and one with similar features that could exist in the present. Once the students have drawn their animals, they will do a Voicethread to talk about their animals and how they are alike and different, pointing out which features remained constant throughout the passage of time. </div>]]></description>
