Final Questions

The photographs were lit with the natural lighting that was available at the time of shooting. However, since the areas and times where we were shooting did not provide much lighting, we had to use other tools. One of the tools we used was a light stick, the other was the light reflectors. The major difference I saw between the f/1.8 and f/8 photos was the focus points. I believe that for food photography, the f/1.8 aperture works best, seeing that the food is meant to be the main focus of the shoot. Keeping the food in major focus is key to the food photography. If I were to do this again, I would try to find a location that allowed for more nature lighting to reach the food I'm photographing; I would also find a prettier location to have in the background of the food.

Key points I learned about food photography was the value of a good angle. While the aperture is a key component of a food photography, the right angle can make the food much more appetizing to the viewer. My notes also talked about lighting for the shot, and the fact that booth out=r food shoots did not have much natural lighting due to the weather conditions, I also learned the key importance of lighting in a shot. Overall, the food photography was a great experience, the food truck special shoot being the best way to learn on-site food photography.
