Our point of view:
- We think that there is nothing wrong with being gay, and society will have to learn to respect them for who they are.

Most don’t think about the behind the scenes killing and enjoy the experience. Greyhound racing for most is an income, job or a life. Others are trainers, or are staff at venues. Greyhound racing is an essential part to the economy. It provides another racing sport for people to bet and have fun. Hotel owners make money by televising the event and selling drinks and food to people who come and watch it. There is a ripple effect of money in this sport, it provides a better life for many. Despite its flaws, Greyhound Racing is good for the Australian economy.(Pub owners, staff, trainers and other people who earn money from the sport)

YES – Show some respect for animals, so many lives of dogs have been taken. For many when they attend these events they don’t think of the live-baiting, the abuse and all of the major flaws in the system. Although, it may provide a life for many, this sport needs to be shut down immediately. There are so many things that should be changed about this sport. (Animal Cruelty Charities and Organisations) 

Maybe – More laws should be enforced to protect animals from this sport, but the total shut down of the sport would affect the economy and badly affect many lives. Although the sport supports live-baiting and animal abuse, the total shut down of the sport could completely ruin the state and the nations economy.

Should be banned-

Greyhounds used to be dogs of nobility, and since then we have managed to undermine the originally noble, sleek, exquisite dogs and forced them into "racing for their lives." They have gone from the top of the hierarchy of dogs to the rock bottom, forced to wear muzzles in public and only seen as those dogs you see on the TV, racing.

A commission estimated that somewhere between 49,000 and 68,000 dogs (50 to 70 per cent) born in the past 12 years have been killed because they never were, or no longer were, capable of being competitive greyhounds.

Shouldn't be banned-

When we ban it, thousands of dogs will not have a home and most likely be put down.

Ban the trainers we shouldn't ban Greyhound racing as it is a good sport. We should only ban the trainers killing the dogs. These dogs are innocent and should just retire, not killed. In NSW premier Mile Baird is banning them.
