In the book The Miracle Worker Kate shows a lot of love toward her daughter Helen. Kate always wants what's best for her, for example whenever Annie wanted to keep Helen in the garden house for 2 weeks but that would mean she would have to live in there with her. Kate agreed to this arrangement because she wanted what was best for Helen even if it meant that she couldn't take care of her herself and that she couldn't see her as often as usual. It's very hard for Kate to stay away from her daughter for 2 whole weeks but she did so Helen could learn from Annie. Kate was also wondering if Annie would be able to accomplish anything in 2 weeks, she said "Two weeks? Miss Annie, can you accomplish anything in two weeks?". Therefore she is worried that Helen would not have enough time to learn the things she needs to from Annie.

In the book The Miracle Worker, it shows that Kate is a loving person for her daughter Helen. I can prove this because the book states, "Kate: I think the Captain will write to him soon. Keller: Katie. How many times can you let them break your heart?
Kate: Any number of times." (Gibson, 7). Clearly, this shows that she does care for Helen and would do almost anything for her to help her.

In the book The Miracle Worker, it shows Kate is a loving person for Helen. One reason to support this is Kate continues to let Annie try and teach her so she doesn't get put in asylum.("Mrs Sullivan, before you came we spoke of putting Helen in an asylum")p.66 Even though Captain Keller says there are no more chances. Another reason is how much Kate cares for Helen. She doesn't want her to leave the house to visit in the garden house with Annie for a while. She does know its best for her to try and learn so she continues with it. ("Mrs. Annie you only have two weeks")p.71
