The author seems to have a good point<del>s</del> because <del>the </del>half of the world is <del>are</del> not provided with the same rights as the other half and some actions should be taken <del>done</del> about it. The world now is making much effort to end poverty and to leave no one behind and most importantly women and its the 5th SDG goal. (You need to mention your reasons and explain them for the readers.)

Kim(2017) refers to a study which states that women's empowerment cannot be accomplished without overcoming legal, institutional and cultural hurdles against women. These studies seem convincing. I think we should strive for providing equal opportunities. That is how we can achieve a fair workplace (you need to explain how can these be done?).However it should not be advantageous to women. If it is,it would be harmful for men.For instance, in developed states such as California.Companies discriminate <del>for</del> women because social pressure and sometimes they are forced by the government (these ideas are based on your personal point of view, they lack reliability). These actions only antogonize people. (you need to focus on how can can equity be achieved for men and women? how can this help us achieve sustainability?)

Kim (2017) highlights that there must be changes in the world that, not only fifty percent of the world should be solving the issue of poverty on their <del>by its </del>own. Women empowerment <del>enforcement</del> should be supported <del>increase</del> and there should be no one left behind, Kim(2017) strongly points out the idea of that, women should be included in the work forcce <del>of men in the world</del>. There is much work to be done <del>are a lots of work it needs to be done,</del> in order (the sentence is incomplete). (So far you have summarized Kim's ideas, and it is not clear whay you agree or disagree with? and this makes your paragraph a summary, not a response!) She impacts (impact is a noun, not a verb) the idea to us by highlighting the strong points she has, ''leaving no one behind''. Kim(2017)(follow APA rules, you need a reporting verb) There are the work that needs to be done in the world, a lots of work (the same idea is repeated again). Preventing poverty, lifting people out of poverty, gender equality (the sentence is incomplete). There are a lots of (lots of - is informal instead use many SDGs) SDGs to achieve, why leaving %50 of the world behind, not get the help of them at all (the sentences are incomplete). The author <del>purpostions</del> propositions are valid and sensible, she successfully imposes the idea of why leaving the power behind where, you can easily solve (grammar mistake to be corrected). Kim (20*17) stresses that ''Gender inequality is simply not acceptable in a world where half of the citizens are not provided with the same rights as the other half'' (p.2). <del>Kim(2017)</del> When all of the world focuses on just simply trying to solve the problem of poverty, in the rural areas it does not work. When there is no gender equality how do we expect the poverty line to go down as the world expects. When there is no economy functioning properly, why would we expect the solutions to outcome high. As Ojomo(2017) claims <del>with his article,</del> the unnecessary equipment<del>s</del>, that is given to those people that (you need to present the idea you agree/disagree and then explain your reasons. You need to make clear how are poverty and gender equity related? how can all these problems be solved?)

Rabinson (2015) claims that gender equality is still not wide-spread as it supposed to be. In 42 countries women hold more than 30% of seats (state your resource here, where do these numbers come from?) in the national legislature, but <del>and</del> in some countries girls do not get educational opportunities as boys. The author seems to have realistic ideas because gender equality is the concern of all humans now we are in the 21st century and still there are some gender equality issues. First of all, gender equality does not benefit only women <del>the human being</del> but also it contributes to the development of the countries' economic development when no one is left behind and the whole society is working together. Empowerment of Women and Girls video (Gates, 2015) reveals that 60% of women in the world are poor and when women are given resources they can earn their living on their own (briefly explain how does this contribute to the economic development of a country?) .

Rabinson (2015) points out that the government will adopt a new set of sustainable development goals in order to secure a better future and raise a new generation of girls and boys who respect each other and work together. The author is right when we teach the children to be coherent and accept the other gender, they will grow up and accept the other without and sense of discrimination.
Good job, Mohamed. All you need to do is elaborate your reasons.

MET

Rabinson (2015) in the article “ Why gender equality is key to sustainablle development “ (state the title only in the summary) highlights women’s rights. Also the author claims that girls still do not have the same educational opportunities as boys in Sub-Saharan Africa, Oceania and western Asia (Rabinson, 2015). At the same time, s/he criticizes whether gender equality is just women’s issue or not and Rabinson (2015) stresses <del>says</del> that it is a human right. Rabinson is completely right, a woman is a man’s mother or wife and all of them own the problem (grammar hinder understanding). Rabinson defends to protect <del>the right about</del> gender equality and suggests respect for every gender<del>s</del>. It must be our priority for solution. Rabinson(2015) stresses that “ women make up almost 60% of the who live in extreme poverty because they often have no independent income or land rights” (p.1) and then refers to report “less than 20 percent of the world’s landholders are women” (UN, as cited in Rabinson, 2012). The author is right about that women have important seats in the world despite of these severe<del>ities</del>. (severe is an adjective) issues.

Thank you, Beril. You have stressed important points by the writer, but you need to state your ideas:
how do you feel about these issues?
why are they important?
how can they be solved?
how can they help to achieve sustainable development?
