Bevor es dann zur Brooklyn Bridge ging, versammelten sich alle im sogenannten “New York Room”, wo Maren ihre Präsentation über die Brooklyn Bridge hielt.

Anschließend machten wir uns zusammen auf den Weg zur U-Bahn Station, um die Brooklyn Bridge zu erreichen. Zum Glück war das Wetter deutlich besser als die Tage zuvor und wir hatten daher einen besseren Blick auf die Skyline, von der dann eifrig Fotos gemacht wurden. Auf dem Weg zur anderen Seite der Brücke holten sich dann alle Schüler köstliche Churros bei einem kleinen Stand, um unseren Körper etwas Energie zu geben. Unser Energielevel war aufgrund der vielen Bewegung und des Jetlags sehr gesunken.

While we enjoyed our churros, we continued walking across the bridge until we finally arrived in the Brooklyn district. It wasn't really a long walk, but with the many photos and the souvenir stands it took an hour to get across.
Once there, we took photos of Brooklyn Bridge against the skyline of Manhattan. Again we took a subway to get back to the hostel. 

Zunächst nahmen wir einen Reisebus, der bis nach Philadelphia fuhr. Auf dem Weg dorthin konnten wir zum ersten Mal seit der Reise sehr viel Landschaft sehen & New York aus der Ferne betrachten.

Also nutzten 11 von uns direkt die Chance, einen Eindruck von Philadelphia zu gewinnen und besuchten auch kurz Liberty Bell, um dort die Ausstellung im Außenbereich anzusehen. Die Innenausstellung war leider geschlossen.

Skrollan is staying with the Lands, a family of one freshly 18-year old boy Matthew, 16-year old Mabry, their parents and Jax the dog.
After about 4 hours of sleep she woke up and got ready for church. The service started at 10 a.m. and lasted 1 hour as usual. The church was very modern and there were people of all ages, including many young people. In the church, Skrollan also meets Lisa L. and her host family.
Skrollan then went home with her host family and prepared the food for the family. They came again to celebrate Matthew's birthday. There were cakes, spaghetti with tomato sauce, Mac & Cheese, Salad, Cookies and a lot more.
Afterwards they decided to build up the volleyball net and all played volleyball and badminton together in teams.
In the afternoon she went thrift shopping (second hand shopping) with Lisa K., his guest sister Olivia and a few other friends.
At 4 p.m. we went to the Youth Club of the Lenoir Presbyterian Church, where there was food, games were played & then spiritual topics were discussed and prayed in the group. After that, Lisa and Skrollan went to the Youth Suite in the First Baptist Church with their host siblings.
At the end of the evening, they went to a buddy and hung out there and played cards.

Previously, Lisa K. spent Sunday morning with her guest sister Olivia in the Presbyterian Church. Then they drove home and watched the movie Bullettrain
