Typical signs of Autism include:

• Difficulty talking to or being around other people

• Having unusual interests or interests that are more intense than others

• Sensitivity to certain tastes, textures, noises etc.

• Preferring to follow the rules

• Attention to detail

Typical signs of ADHD include:

• Difficulty concentrating

• Being impulsive– doing things without thinking about them

• Easily distracted

• Poor memory

• SENDCO

• School can access specialist advice from the local authority if needed

• Reasonable adjustments

What happens next?

Your child will be allocated a care coordinator in due course. This clinician will be your named point of contact and will organise your child’s assessment.

The allocation appointment will be the first appointment of the assessment.

The information, advice and support provided by the service covers the full range of education, health and social care as defined in the SEND Code of Practice 2015.  The service is run at 'arm's length' from the Local Authority.

We provide mental health support in schools through one-to-one and group counselling using tried and tested methods backed by research. In addition, we also offer expert training and professional qualifications.
