It is basically  playing God from a religious standpoint. It can lead to genetic mutations. And before all that we humans are responsible for protecting the balance of our environment. We have to be the caretakers of the wild. Cloning would ruin the natural selection and would create conflicts in human genes.

To be more thorough, for example, if we start cloning babies its DNA would be a mixture of its parents but not in a good way without crossing over-- its grandmother would also be its mother and so on.
