My name is Sydney Colenzo and I am currently in my fifth year here at CSUF. I will be graduating in the spring with my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology.  I hope to one day become a physical eduction teacher at the middle school level.  I thoroughly enjoy watching, coaching, and teaching any type of sports, which is why I am pursuing a career in Physical Education. I have played softball for pretty much my entire life (since I was 4), and have dedicated most of my life to the game. It allowed me to get a scholarship to play at this school and get a free education so I am very grateful for the opportunities softball has opened up for me.
This is a video of my very last career at bat. I ended up getting a double up the middle. I am blessed to have an amazing family that supports me and my siblings in all that we do. I have an older sister who also played college softball at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa. My two younger brothers both play football. The older one is a junior in high school and the younger one is an eighth grader.  We have a very athletic family, which is another reason why I am very involved in sports.

This summer my family and I were lucky enough to travel back east for twelve days. We traveled to New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Boston. One of my favorite parts of the trip was getting to go to a Boston Red Sox game against the New York Yankees at Fenway Park. That is on my bucket list and I am very grateful to have checked it off of my list.
