in our school i am responsible for tevhnical issues, but who wants to take some cloud service, it depends of his good will, we are free to investigate which tool is apropriate for subject we teach, for example geogebra is practical tool for math, many teachers are following reccommandations from Carnet educational portal in Croatia, in E.school project we have got pc, so we are able to communicate with pupils about homework, progress in learning, practical advices in some work in any program, but also as somebody said take care with moderation, becauase when you are online you are exposed, never forget everything you do online it is possible to be caught from differrent types of hackers, legaly or ilegaly...

In our modern society people cannot work without using computer and internet tecnologies, including Cloud services. This is why teaching kids how to use cloud is very important. These services help students and teachers to share important information without even meeting, for example, when the student cannot visit the school because of being sick, the teacher can easily share all of the important information, files, e-books etc. Using cloud services is not required in my school, but I use it anyway, because it is a great way to encourage student to work in groups on one projects together at the same time. It teaches them the responsebility of team work. Of course, all of the teachers that want to involve student to work in cloud should properly learn everything about it themselves first.

Schools in Greece exclusively used cloud services provided from
a) the Greek Schools Network (emails, web hosting , moodle , e-classes , e-learning ..)
b) from the Digital Educational Platform, of the Greek Ministry of
Education which provide interactive books, Learning Objects repository and an integrated digital environment, for learning, collaboration, communication and networking of all members of the school community.
But teachers, as individuals, are free to use, for their lessons only , any Cloud services they want , as long as they respect the personal data of their students .

In Irish schools the decision to move to Cloud services is generally a pedagogical one and it is the teachers that implement it. We find that schools find it easier to get started with G Suite but often need professional support to get started with 365. Sometimes schools make uninformed decisions and select one cloud service over another without a proper evaluation.

In my school we are going to discuss the possibility to officialy adopt mobile devices in education. I agree that going for Cloud is a challenging task. We have to consider technical aspects (we have 50 tablets but our WiFi connections is slow, thus we should invest a considerable amount of money to improve it) and also pedagogical aspects (i.e., young students are not aware of the risks and hazards of surfing the web, risks of misuse of the Cloud resources or worse, etc.). We don't have an official Cloud service at the moment. It is a possibility that we are going to discuss with an external expert that is in charge of managing our network.

We've formed an "e-Learning Team" (approx. 25 teachers) which gathers the most experienced in each trade/vocation. Their task is to be leaders, an example for the rest. Many things aren't sorted and organized, even at the top of hierarchy: permanent cloud data storage, sharing, ...They push and favor Microsoft products (contract !) compared to others, so...Too many "missing pieces in the puzzle", I'd say.

Everyone is free to use cloud services or not during the teaching process. The headmaster cannot force teachers to use it because it's not defined (enforced) by the Ministry. Yet. The lack of technical conditions of use (Wi-FI for BYOD) has not yet made the strategy and involvement of all important actors (headmaster, pedagogue, ICT developer, other teachers) in building awareness of the benefits of using the cloud system.

I agree that there are great benefits from cloud computing in education (like mobility,cost, availability, collaboration, productivity..) but regarding my school we need to update ICT infrastructure first(cloud services/web browser require better hw than what we have at this moment), implement quality wifi networking (which we don't have yet), teach teachers and as mentioned in video to digitalize educational materials of other subjects. Cloud computing with BYOD would be nice combination. In the discussions and decisions would be included principal, technical people and we teachers.

I agree that using cloud services can be of great benefit to education and I think that the more teachers learn about the applications, the more they will use them. We are just using Google Apps as an administration and communication tool at present but there is so much more we can use it for - it's very exciting! THe decision to use Google apps was made after long hours of research and deliberation and discussion with our ICT support, myself as ICT coordinator in the school and the Principal. Parent support for a BYOD program is crucial to its success. In addition to training staff and developing a comprehensive and consistent technology policy, principals, teachers and administrators must plan on how to involve parents in the process.

There are a number of websites such as Kahoot and Socrative allow teachers to conduct polls and surveys during presentations and use the responses immediately, increasing engagement and participation; full access to a huge amount of information and more easy ways to do the assessment.

BYOD requires a school to upgrade its network infrastructure to handle the increased demands for bandwidth.

In this region of Spain, the administration doesn't allow contract cloud services for students. Data bases on non-corporate servers are banned. Teachers have corporate tools like moodle, mahara, drupal, etc, with own database.

In my view, it's the principal's decision to create an innovative environment for the entire school and introduce Cloud services in schools. A principal has to have a vision and understand the importance of implementing cloud technologies into the teaching and learning processes as soon as possible.
We have been using Office 365 for about 5 years. Of course, some of the teachers use cloud services very effectively. But there are some teachers for whom it is still difficult to get used to new technologies. Each teacher is autonomous to choose the tools and services that best suit him. Neither the school nor the Ministry prescribes such a thing. The Ministry trains teachers how to use some tools, but teachers eventually choose their tools. I believe that the use of online tools and communication between teachers and students works well, as opposed to communication between teachers at all levels.
The Ministry, state agencies, school administrations and teachers have no common rules or raddomandation in online communication and resource sharing. Most teachers do not even know that they have an official e-mail address. Most employees in the Ministry and state agencies are hardly used e-mail and PP. Shared work on documents is reduced to the forwarding of Word documents with comments. With such an IT ignorance, we are happy that none of those instruct us what to do and how to do it.

The big changes are done by school administration, even if specialists suggest otherwise. So, technically ICT specialist must talk with all the teachers first, to help them understand and reduce stress while going through or preparing to changes. Cloud Computing is virtual thing, so you can't show it easily to other teachers or administration. Also, they are more lenient to changes if other schools are already using those technologies. In my case, the school had already agree to run with 0365 before I had arrived. The decision was taking at higher management level but done so with the input of a pilot project for 1 year. Now that it is implemented, all teachers have recieved the most basic levels of training. This training comes from 2-3 teachers who are interested in 0365 but not experts or subject experts.

In our school-system there is ‘Animatore digitale’ who is selected to promote the use of digital devices and services. He decides use of ICT cloud together to principal of the school.
For example, in my school we are already activated some application in Google and we have the opportunity to use Google Drive. No technical people are included in this type of decisions but teachers. Students are not incentivized to use clouds because they are not prepared for it in pedagogical sense.

In mi school there is an animator digital,there is a platform of the school but it isn’ t used because the animator doesn’t give the password, has little services and little easy.

There are many pluses and little cons when discussing cloud services. Having said that decisions are only taken by a single person in the school. Having said that consultation if needed is done beforehand.

Teachers, IT department, and our director. We use some cloud services, but we have rules. ITunes U, google classroom and apple classroom (is new) are mandatory for all teachers (1st grade to 8th grade). Other applications that supports learning, teachers and students can choose. If student find a app to present or to make a video that he/she prefers they can use.

my computer has suffered a light spike, lost everything, today I was able to connect and participate in this course, which I love so much.
I've learned that we always have to save our files and not just use a computer!
Today I start my course and hope to contribute.
My luck and that some files I saved on DVD, old method and sent myself some documents.
In this system of information we need the computer the file in the clouds is always necessary.
