Reflection regarding the coffee filter flowers experiment

This experiment was really popular amongst kids as it combined both science and art elements into the experiment. I personally feel that this experiment went really well as it was easy to understand and the hands on activity definitely made it more memorable for the kids. I could tell they really enjoyed it as many kids did the experiment multiple times and even brought home the stained filter paper.

Reflection regarding the juice box car

This experiment didn’t turn out as planned, the car didn’t move as the power of the ballon wasn’t enough to propel the car forward. However, we were able to improvise and teach a different concept to the kids, that the energy needed to move an object depends to the weight and size of the object. We compared the juice cart car(a balloon attached to it) to a ballon on its own and explained to them how the energy stored in the balloon wasn’t enough to move the car but on its own the balloon could move rapidly when released. From this, I learnt how important it is to quickly think of solutions and accommodate to unforeseen challenges😁👍🏻

Reflection regarding the preparation for CCA carnival

I was part of the execution com and it was overall an extremely fun experience!! Our booth did really well and I was genuinely excited at how many people wanted to join. Really enjoyed walking around school with my fellow CCA mates to promote slc HAHHAHAHAH (we did get rejected a few time but we just laughed it off)
