         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Genetic predispositions can cause someone to be advantaged or disadvantaged in certain tasks<br>-Being disadvantaged can cause great stress and mistakes<br>-Further constraints can cause more stress for fear of not finishing or of not doing it properly<br>-Example: The spreading of the peanut butter was affected by time constraints and also the way the bread was ripped<br>Neurosis- Emotional disturbance characterized by excessive anxiety, can function<br>Psychosis- Emotional disturbance characterized by inability to cope in real world, can't function<br>Anorexia- Obsessive desire to lose weight by refusing to eat proper amount, severely limiting the calorie intake, also can include overexercising, insomnia, fatigue, extreme weight loss, odd hair growth/loss, dizziness<br>Bulimia- characterized by overeating and purging themselves afterwards, worry over her weight, leads to anxiety and obsessions with body image, low self esteem<br>Binge Eating Disorder- Server eating disorder of bingeing large quantities of food, feeling much shame during binge and feeling like you don't have control<br>Anxiety Disorders- rapid breathing, shaking, sweating, passing out<br>Phobias- extreme fear of animals, social situations, situations, etc<br>OCD- Obsessive thoughts that cause anxiety, then one acts on the thoughts in order to feel relief, and then the thoughts occur again<br>Somatoform Disorder- thinking one has a physical illness/ailment when they don't, also hypochondriasis<br>Conversion Hysteria- having a physical symptom with no cause<br>Panic DIsorder- episodes of extreme fear and nervousness, sweating, shaking, trouble breathing</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Major Depressive Disorder- Intense sadness, can last months to forever<br>Dysthymia- Involves less intense sadness, 2 years or more, biological origin<br>SAD- Depression which occurs at specific times of the year with less sunlight<br>Bipolar- both manic and depressive episodes occur, up and down feelings, genetic factors<br>Bipolar 1 is more extreme than bipolar 2, more aggressive/intense episodes occur<br>Mania: Overly happy, risky behavior, extreme recklessness<br>2.6% of Americans are diagnosed with bipolar disorder<br>Usually occurs at 25, rare in childhood</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>DID- Disociative Identity Disorder<br>Amnesia- loss of memory caused by switching altars, Don't know what other memories did<br>Host- real person that has the disorder<br>Schizophrenia- Disorganized thoughts, voices, inappropriate actions, bizarre behavior<br>Excessive dopamine can cause hallucinations (false senses), delusions (false beliefs), etc<br>Positive- Presence of abnormal behavior<br>Negative- Absence of normal behavior<br>Paranoid- Preoccupation with delusions<br>Disorganized- Disorganized thoughts and actions<br>Catatonic- extreme negative feelings</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cluster A: Person seems odd or erratic<br>Schizoid- withdrawn and lack of feelings with others, rarely marry/have relationships<br>Schizotypal- odd emotional reactions and impaired social functioning<br>Paranoid Disorder- always suspicious and worried, refuse to accept blame or criticism<br>Cluster B: person seems dramatic, over emotional<br>Borderline Personality- Tend to act impulsively, Self destructive, unstable self image<br>Antisocial Personality- history of criminal/unethical behavior, inability to feel remorse or affection<br>Histrionic Personality- very dramatic, always needing praise<br>Narcissistic Personality- Grandiose view of themselves, always wants attention<br>Cluster C: person is anxious or fearful<br>Dependent Personality Disorder- can't live by oneself, inability to stand on their own and make decisions<br>Avoidant Personality- fear of rejection, leads to isolation<br>OCPD- obsessed with control and rules, unrealistic perfectionist<br>Social Communication Disorder- Unable to adjust voice level, asking odd questions, being unaware of others' feelings, difficulty functioning in social situations<br>Addiction Treatment- Hypnosis, Aversion conditioning<br>Treating Personality disorders often focus on changing way of thinking, respond to talking therapy<br>Anxiety focuses on talking therapy, trying to replace unpleasant thing with a pleasant response, drug therapy<br>Treating depression can use drugs, uses psycho dynamic in order to find, Humanist approach of focusing on person, cognitive tries to change the way that one views themself<br>Treating DID is done using talking therapy and can also use drugs in order to attempt to reconnect identity<br>Schizophrenia is treated using drugs and hopefully talk therapy to identify causes of disorder, symptoms</div>]]></description>
