Our goal is to familiarise the youth with the idea of active citizenship in general, and European citizenship in particular, to promote mutual understanding between young people from different countries through intercultural dialogue, to motivate them to study and learn new languages in a lively context of interesting current topics (financial crisis, migratory crisis, dealing with issues concerning the protection of health and the environment). We also try to help young people enhance their skills and overcome potential learning difficulties using formal and non-formal education methods. We also intend to integrate in our group young people of different cultural or religious backgrounds in order to successfully fight against racism and xenophobia in order to become responsible and aware citizens and adopt positive behaviours. Our experience is quite large, acquired during the previous years through Youth in Action projects (which are the predecessors of KA1), mainly concerning the topic of citizenship and environmental protection.
Our actions: We organise seminars, games, theatre, art and sport activities, volunteering actions, cinema and literature evenings, always in the aim of helping the young enhance their skills and learning to live together, not just coexist, but also reach to a "win-win" situation. In July 2018 our project "Win-Win Society" was approved by the National Agency (2018-2-EL02-KA105-004314). In July 2019, our project (Youth Exchange) “BRAVE - Building Resistance Against Violence and Extremism” was also approved.
Furthermore, we have cooperated with different Greek, Italian and French NGOs in EU projects on various topics, such as the protection of the environment, migration and particularly involvement of young migrants of ethnic minorities, cultural heritages, employability, the position of youth in the job market through lifelong learning and training of adults who have quit school. What’s more, we have developed a larger international vision and understanding based on the ideas of the European identity and social cohesion. In this context, our group supports the adoption of the principles of the Earth Charter, which is a declaration of fundamental ethical principles for building a just, sustainable and peaceful global society in the 21st century. It seeks to inspire all people with a new sense of global interdependence and shared responsibility for the well-being of the entire human family, the larger community of life and future generations. It is a vision of hope and a call for action. Particular emphasis is given to linking the 17 UNESCO's 20 Sustainable Development Objectives (Agenda 2030) to the principles of the Earth Charter. We have adopted the awareness-raising action on Environment and Sustainability on "Meatless Monday without meat or fish as part of a campaign to change our eating habits"
This action is inspired by the public commitment of 500 personalities in France to collectively reduce the consumption of animal flesh. We believe that everyone can make a significant step in this direction for one of the following reasons: survival planet, human health, respect for animal life. In particular, we undertook to replace meat and fish every Monday of 2019. The action is being implemented in forty countries in the world, coordinated by the University of Grenoble and other Universities, CNRS and INRA.
We also participate as volunteers in the "This time I'm voting" campaign organized by the European Parliament Office in Greece.
Our actions also include: actions of solidarity and charity as well as information to defend the rights of young people. Our goal is for adult members of the group to engage and cultivate volunteering among young people and to provide useful insights into understanding the accompanying terms such as philanthropy, charity, activism, active citizenship and the desire to take action.
Through these actions, young people acquire values of life, abilities and skills that we want to discover in this proposed project, group together so that when dealing with young people we can "teach" in experiential learning ways and empower them so as these nice volunteer actions will end up in a professional activity, through social cooperative enterprises, start-ups etc.
In all of our projects we aim to cultivate and enhance the following skills: creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving ability, decision-making ability, communication, collaboration, citizen identity, the relation between every day and professional life, personal and social responsibility. We deem that these abilities are essential for healthy societies and strong, impacting in the labor market individuals. These "Life Skills" aid young people to develop their confidence and to successfully adapt to changes and challenges in their life, such as bullying and discrimination. They give them the opportunity to make a positive impact in their communities by empowering to revindicate their rights.

Athens is famous for its historical texture and delicios foods !! The title of the project stands for "Building Resistance Agianst Violence and Extremism".
Brave enough to embark on a one-week adventure in the Athenian Riviera, and brave enough to address society issues that many of us keep silent about. During these seven days that were tightly packed with action – from waking up early for activities to barely getting any sleep, each one of us, the participants, learned something from the others and broadened their horizons beyond measure. The building blocks of the youth exchange were, of course, sunny Greece as our host, France, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Romania and Turkey. One of the most rewarding outcomes? Getting to know different points of view varying in accordance with the cultural background, and shifting our thinking to put ourselves in the shoes of others, trying to comprehend why they use their judgement the way they do.
From fascinating discussions starting from the absence of mosques in the city of Athens and evolving into even more insightful topics, through ways to prevent domestic violence and videos combating racism, to theatrical plays and long strolls in the historical city center – our project had it all. The way the activities were carried out was focused on the methods of non-formal learning which strive to engage and include everyone and prompt them to participate. Starting from day one, each one of us was able to discover their unique type of intelligence and the rest of the project invited us to unfold it in the most creative way possible – what remained behind as memorabilia from the youth exchange is countless posters on different topics, flashcards with happy thoughts which we spread in the city center and a large canvas summarizing our satisfaction with the project, which everyone made a contribution to.
If I had to use three words to describe “B.R.A.V.E.”, they would be “international friendship” and “understanding”. It is true indeed that this is about the motto of almost every Erasmus+ youth exchange, but what made this one special was the opportunity to discover the views of people living so close to us, see the different perspectives on events which concerned us all, and of course, have a lot of fun together, because as we said many times “We did it the Balkan way” - namely warm, welcoming and loud. The clearest expression of this were the intercultural evenings, where the representatives of every country had brought traditional snacks and drinks, games and dances from their homeland, giving us a glimpse into what it is to live in each one of our respective participating countries. Even if there had been no material results to present the project through, what made its mark in each and every one of us were the moments of sitting on the piers of beautiful Glyfada at night time, playing ukulele and singing on the beach, watching the sunset and chasing kites, sharing jokes and learning common words in each other’s languages, all these tiny particles of time which we experienced together. On behalf of the whole Bulgarian team, we are thankful beyond infinity to have had the chance to be part of this magnificent experience. For what truly matters is that deep down inside, we’re all made of the same.

Our Project named B.R.A.V.E youth Project(Building,resisence against violence and extremism.)We had great workshops about domestic violence,World cafe etc. We always divided groups and shared quite important ideas.First day we played so funny games during learning our names and meeting,after meeting we always continue having fun when we discussing Project issues.At the time of activities that we were discussing about some matters especially when we were talking about migration,refugees and terrorist attacks was really pushed me from my confort zone when i was explaining my ideas to the others and also some ideas from others attracted my ideas at some point my mindset so first i started Erasmus, I will trace Erasmus:)
The training was held in Glyfada,Athens.Glyfada is such a nice place.Althought the month was february the weather was like spring and the glyfada cost was wonderful.Even some friends swam in the sea.The view always been excellent to us and of course we had fun together in the cost in our free times.I was wondering all the special foods of countries especially Greece.I fell in love with greece foods.We performed traditional dances and also tried special foods which charmed me. Intercultural days was always exited. We had great tastes thanks to my precious friends from different countries:)
Athens allowed us to recognize and learn about the city that was welcoming us.We did a theatrical performance at the city center of Athens as divided into groups.We acted theatre plays from Creon and Antigone in front of the theatre of Dionysus.We felt the spirit of ancient drama culture and democracy via where we acted.We also visited other attractions which impressed me deeply via old culture of structures. We visited Acropolis of Athens,Parthenon,Temple of Olympian Zeus,Ancient Agora of Athens,Syntagma Square,Monastiraki and othersin our free times.We also took deeply clean breath in National Garden.
Our hotel was near to the metro,bus sitation ,Glyfada Center and of course all costs because Glyfada is a beachside of Athens.Hotel was always clean and foods were variable and tasty. Thanks Ionna Ntinou and other valuable people who played any little role in this Project:)

We are happy to announce the launch of the virtual mobility for youth workers From Humanity and Beyond by our partners, Sunrise Project France.

This training course brings together youth workers from 9 countries: France, Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Greece,

Cyprus, Slovakia and Denmark. The training’s goals are to support the youth workers develop new abilities to help and empower the young people and to promote peace and tolerance within the European society. During 13 days, the participants will explore different methods and tools to foster refugees’ integration and to address youth radicalization issues.

From Humanity and Beyond is a Mobility of Youth Workers — Training Course funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Programme.

Το πρόγραμμα“Active Civic Endeavor" άρχισε χτες και είναι σε εξέλιξη.

Η ομάδα μας Young Active Eurocitizens συμμετέχει με 12 νέους και νέες!

Λιγα λόγια για το πρόγραμμα: “Active Civic Endeavor" is an international youth exchange project financed through the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU.

It was created within the partnership of 6 associations from Europe: Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Lithuania and Croatia, having the common objectives of promoting responsible citizenship and active social and civic involvement of youngsters.

The project activities are taking place between 06.10.2022 – 15.10.2022 in Vatra Dornei, Romania and they brought together 48 youngsters from the above-mentioned countries.

Through “ACE”, we aim to determine the involvement of young people in society and to educate proactive behaviors. The importance and actuality of a project aiming to educate the civic spirit and social consciousness of young people results from the studies recently conducted in EU, based on which we settled the following objectives to be achieved during the project:

1 - To develop awareness and social and civic competences of the participants and young people from their communities, through educational activities that will take place within the project.

2 - To involve young people in the civic life, by determining a current problem and implementing a clear initiative to improve the situation in each of the 6 communities.

3 - To stimulate active citizenship via an awareness campaign carried out by participants, informing through the materials created in the project, online and offline.

Through project's non-formal activities, we will motivate young people to become active and responsible citizens, focusing on several areas that we consider to be especially actual: the decision-making process at community, country and European levels and inclusive participation; fostering the social inclusion and equity; promotion of green behaviors.

At the same time, through Active Civic Endeavor we will contribute to the implementation of the EU Youth Strategy for 2019- 2027, through Involvement, Connection and Empowerment.
